Letter Scraps missing? ?

Good Day,

 

I would be curious to know if anyone else has experienced the glitch of missing Letter Scraps? ??? I have collected 49/50, yet with all the guides, maps, & other advice, one piece remains missing : the one above Cassidy Creek. My PS3 has had 2 automatic updates to the game itself, would this have any effect upon it?

 

Despite relentless searches by all 3 protagonists, day & night, nothing has ever appeared in the aforementioned area.

 

If the community could offer assistance, I'd be most grateful .

Thanks for the assistance. it seems the quick save/ reload trick solved the problem.
