Unclaimable Vehicle

So, I was driving around in my new Sultan the other day until someone decided to blow it up. So, I phone Mors & they don't pickup. Well okay. So I get my mechanic to deliver a new vehicle so I could destroy it & see if my Sultan comes up. No luck. So I call my mechanic again & see that my Sultan is listed as "Sultan (Destroyed)". Then at the bottom it reads, "Your personal vehicle has been destroyed, to protect your vehicles in the future, purchase car insurance." I mean sure, if I forgot to put insurance on it, then my bad. (I always thought it was put it automatically once inside your garage?) Anyway, even if I forgot the insurance, why is my Sultan still showing up on my mechanics list as destroyed? If it was uninsured, shouldn't it have disappeared? & if it was insured, why is it unclaimable?

Your Sultan experienced the glitch where an insured vehicle will, for no reason, lose it's insurance. Whenever you take any vehicle or bike outside of your garage, make sure to check If It still has insurance on it, for this same reason. There used to be a method that one could try to make the vehicle become reclaimable again, but unfortunately that method does not seem to work anymore, so you can't really do much about it.

You can still replace the car in your garage, either by purchasing another one or driving one into it.

I noticed this too when I filled my garage with random cars so could put the ones I wanted in certain order. When I purposely destroyed the uninsured vehicles to remove them from my garage they stayed on the list as destroyed.

 

What's weird is only way to get rid of it is to put another car in that spot.

 

Not sure if this is new or not. Never noticed before.

Ouch... Had about $200k wrapped up in her. Painful loss. Oh well, back to the grind I guess.. Thanks!

A tracker is automatically placed on a car you put in your garage, not insurance (you need to go to LSC) unless you buy it from a website. Sounds like you just forgot the insurance, I think it still shows up on the mechanics list to remind you of what happened to it.

You could possibly post on the R* support site and explain your issue. R* is definitely aware of this glitch because they've referred to it previous times in previous patches as being fixed which is obviously false as It's still happening. Try maybe posting on the R* support about this issue and maybe they will refund you the money that you wasted on the Sultan and put it back into your account.

Apparently now, the insurance glitch can effect any slot, even when it's not the 1st slot. Someone posted about losing an Adder and they had It in slot 3, I believe, so always check any vehicle's insurance before you take it out of your garage.
