MGs under powered?

Trying to get the MG reward and it is such a chore. Not enough stopping power at all. Infact I find t easier to take people down with an SMG (well assault SMG) or AP pistol. Anyone else notice this? Aiming for the head does not help much either as I by instinct aim for the head. Is it that the MG's have less fire power or do they just not spit out as many bullets?

Its such a pain in the ass rying to get the award when your opponet is locking onto you with a special carbine with more stopping power, accuracy and rate of power. Not just a little but a hell of a lot!

I have been thinking of making a custom death match built around MG's and making it the forced weapon just to help myself and others

I think that R* did that for balancing purposes to be honest. Can you imagine how over powered the combat MG with 200 round extended mags would be if it had the same stopping power as the assault rifles?

It would have been nice if assault rifles has a little less stopping power to balence it out? Personally I love the look and sound of the MGs but other than the award theres no point in using them unless playing with noobs

I usually use them on the NPCs simply to conserve ammo for other games. When I go for player kill award or tints I suppose I will just do what I usually do and kill them while they are surprised, get the up on them, use cover etc. It does have a farther lock on range right? There's that.

Thats a really good point, may try some rounds of battle GTA with owned weapons on
