Is the Elegy OP?

As It is based on a GTR I don't think it's the performance that should be tweaked, rather the class. The GTR is a super car in real life. A track monster... I say instead of nerf it, reclassify it.

I think that is fair. The Vacca should take it's place in the Sports class. A good trade off imo.

it's not a damn R35 it just looks like it, I mean half the cars don't have the right engines, drive-trains, engine sound etc.

so realism isn't really an argument.

 

anyway I don't think it's OP, I owned one for a while but I got rid of it because I think it's a boring drive, way too easy

I'd much rather drive my tailhappy carbo and I'm still able to win plenty of races with it

elegy is a really good car especially considering the fact that it's free, but I've seen it get beat by other sport cars regularly

In the real world it's arguably a super/hyper car, It's king in races like Route 68 and has a good mass so kind of but it's really grippy handling that makes powersliding hard is what balances it out.

Did 2 races on "Break out the brakes" (?) I believe. One race I used the Zentorno, the other I used the Massacro. Short story even shorter: The Zentorno did a 1:10 and the Massacro was just 1 second slower. And I think its a pretty balanced track with high/low speed corners and some straights. So I was pretty surprised with that as I did very good laps with both, couldnt have gone much faster.

Yes, the Elegy is OP, but it's supposed to be because it's based off of the Nissan GTR. In real life, does the GTR destroy supercars at a fraction of the cost? Definitely. I think if they really want to go for realism, they should buff the acceleration on the Elegy. The new GTR Nismo does 0-60 in 2 seconds flat.

I don't find it OP but it is a very good car due to being AWD, take that away and many other cars would be chosen above it. There is always going to be one car that people always choose. That said, being first choice doesn't always make it the clear winner.

It posts super times and the description on legendarymotorsport.com literally calls it a super car. And sadly enough the Elegy is still better than the Massacro, but I know I won't change your mind on that so I'll just leave it, haha.

 

Edit: They changed it from the last time I read it. It says it's a, "supercar slayer."

it is the ONLY car is this game i just can't seem to figuer out. yes it is crazy good in a lot of ways but the number of times it would slide out completly unexpectedly during races made me get rid of it. i do miss it kinda, but then i remember how angry it made me.... perhaps something has changed about it in the last few months cuse everyone thinks it has the best traction/handeling but i just dont see that.

Well to be honest i have always used slower cars.. My race record is a testament to that..lol.

 

 

For the 1st time ever i was able to catch and pass Elegys in a different car on moments where id get blown away. For me that just means the Elegy is not longer the fastest. Sure it still comes down to the driver but..

The Akuma is OP ! Hello, yes the Akuma, the ONLY bike you use and can use to win a bike race.

The Baller 2 is OP, now with the Huntley ! Yes, the ONLY SUVs you have to use to win a race.

The Sanchez and the Bifta are equally powerful in their category, you don't win anything with another vehicle than these 2.

 

And do you complain about that ?

I'm going to say the elegy is OP, watch any of broughy1322 videos on it. It gets better lap times than the entity and zentorno on some maps. Most of the sports cars are very well balanced and get close laptimes but the elegy always crushes the other cars unless its a drag race. I think they just need to change its AWD bias from 30/70 to 20/80 like most AWD cars. That way it has a little less grip to balance it out with the others.

That track he uses is bad tho... That bump at the end of the Hospital cut through can make and break seconds on some cars. And most tracks don't have that sort of silly cut through or bump at the end.

 

The Elegy takes that bump really well.. Almost as if its not there. Of course it will get the faster time.

Akuma OP? What are you talking about? The bati 801 is faster in almost every way! Everyone claims the akuma is OP but the bati wins every race i see it in against the akuma. The baller isn't the best either now. The new SUV kills it by a few seconds in lap times.

Thats part of racing though. GTA tracks aren't perfect so you need to accommodate for that.
