Is the Merryweather Mesa a good racer when fully upgraded?

I recently acquired a Merryweather Mesa and it began to grow on me and I now really like the car, I have some left over money from after the High Life Update and I was wondering how well does it compete in the Off-Road races when modded? I already put Insurance on it so It's not going anywhere I just want to know are the upgrades worth it or should I just use it for climbing Mount Chiliad and Trevors Missions?

Thanks for the Heads up, I really like it's climbing capabilities but wasn't sure if it had racing potential.

Sharp turns, and even some not so much result in a roll-over. It is a nice car to toy around in though, just not meant for racing. It's just far too top heavy to be effective.

the main thing about the jeep its only its looks nothing else to race its almost imposible to win cause of the bifta so really the looks its all in that jeep
