Has Rock* nerfed the Lazer?

So I just stole a Laser and was chasing down a bounty, flying pretty low and my wing clipped a streetlight. Just one of the normal ones you can knock over. This caused my jet to explode instantly.

 

I'd literally just got it from the base using cops turn a blind eye so there was no damage and its been my experience in the past that a jet can knock over a few lampposts without becoming a fireball!

 

I'm so seeing if rock star have reduced the damage they can take. Has anyone else experienced this? If not then might have been a one off! I Didn't get a chance to try the cannons to see of they've changed due to the fireball issue!

I've had numerous healthy jets being taken out by a solitary lamp post. f*cking lamp posts.....

the only thing that changed was the speed from the handling.dat screwup.

 

you can knock down poles depending which bit of the aircraft hits it.

you must have hit with the missile tip.

 

you can test it out by parking a lazer and ram it with a car, hit the missiles and you're gone.

not completely certain but it does look like the range of the cannons are a bit longer then before.

i will usually open fire down the middle knocking down the lamp post to insure i don't clip them

unsure about that too, but i did notice getting hits even when i don't see the explosions render.
