I nominate einjzmolf for his teal ratloader with yellow smoothies,still my favorite vehicle I've ever seen on the forums sorry I don't have a picture on hand,it's absolutely amazing though,it's actually how we met and became friends,I found him in a free roam session and recognized his truck from the forums,history ever since!!

 

 

edit-heres a photo i took about a day after i met him,this is before they had all the fancy filters and what not..... enjoy,he really should win a top spot he put alot of thought into this thing,it has perfect style

Yeah but tbh it's a nice picture but not a very good car picture at all.

Pictures with filters should not be nominated because while they look nice, it's not a true picture of the car. We're looking for best car, not best picture of a car.

 

It just like when magazines and such modify a picture of a celebrity to make them look better than they actually are.

Yeah this x1000. It's all about the car and what it looks like. A filter is just getting in the way.

 

 

People who post pics with filters in the Rate the Car Above You thread are the worst kind of scum lol :sui:

 

You should judge by categories (best car in classes) for finalists, then vote for best in show (all finalist vs each other). Not quite sure how this will work. You really cant compare a zentorno to a buccaneer. Everyone is only going to vote for whatever car they have personal attachment to at the moment, and people that enter will always vote for their own.

 

This is an excellent idea.

Sometimes you need the filters to capture the paint job. All my cars, its real hard to get a good picture of the paint without it. I can show you pics I took yesterday of just this phenomena

If you find the perfect angle of light, you can capture the paint job correctly without a filter.

well the filter i used is to upper the contrast so it still shows it's true color. just deeper

To catch the pearl paint of 2 opposing colors may be easy, but 2 similar colors is quite difficult. You shouldn't disqualify someone for trying to taking a good picture. Filters are there for good reason, to see and enhance what is hard to see.

 

Just a side thought:

 

 

Here's how it ticks:

You can nominate your vehicle by posting a picture of the car in this thread. You can post several pictures of your car, but only in your nomination post, and it must be ONLY ONE CAR. Any nominating of two of your own cars will make your nomination void.

For avoidance of doubt, your entry must be a car. No planes, no tanks, no bikes.

Picture should be clear, and ideally your car should be in showroom like condition.

Nominations will be taken into a shortlist for a Voting Thread, where the winner will be crowned Owner Of The Best Car in GTAOF (may need a catchier title). Depending on the number of nominations, some may not be included but we'll see as this thread may get like 4 nominations then everyone's short listed.

Nominations are open for a day or so so that we all got time to fire up GTA and get that perfect snap if needed.

No where in here does it say "NO FILTERS" Its says: 1 entry of 1 car, you can post several photos, clear photos of car in showroom condition. This is a car contest, not a photo contest. So vote on the car, not the pic

I think with your photo you should try a different angle. Head on is a poor choice as you can't really appreciate the cars style, bodywork mods etc.

 

 

I spent 6 hours, at multiple locations just to get a decent shot of my paint job before I finally said the hell with it. To catch the pearl paint of 2 opposing colors may be easy, but 2 similar colors is quite difficult. You shouldn't disqualify someone for trying to taking a good picture. Filters are there for good reason, to see and enhance what is hard to see.

There are a couple with filters that are fine as you can still see the car clearly, and a couple that aren't (for example the bow down guy).

 

A photo could be poor depending on angle, lighting and filter. It just needs to be a normal clear photo of a car. Nothing fancy.

Well the nominations have been open for over 24 hours now...

 

Let's say nominations close at 10pm UK time. That's about 1 hour and 40 minutes from now.
