Any chance rockstar would add this in your opinion? I hate racing with automatic cars....it just feels so stupid

Manuals are sadly a dying breed in real life, i'm sure they will be gone in video games soon too.

think for two seconds and you'll find your answer.

gta5 will never have manual transmission or lowrider hydraulics simply because there's no more buttons in the gamepad available for extra functions.

why don't you go do that on a racing game? it's stupid expecting gta to cater to every feature like specialized games do.

dafuq why don't you go ask racing game developers why you can't walk out of cars and have big detailed maps and hell even shoot at other drivers too?

when you demand more features make sure there's controller options available.

between onfoot/vehicle/misc controls i'd say there's just no way to assign more stuff.

i mean i'm pretty sure that's why RDR/MP3s switch shoulder aim angle never made it to V.

I don't think R* will implement manual transmission as they have never done it in the past.

IRL paddle shift seems to be on the rise these days (cars worth talking about) but manual is the way to go if your a real petrol head.

The hell they aren't lmao The only thing they come in nowadays is a few choice Ecnobox's really, most of your high end sports, or sports cars period are now a base paddle shift without a clutch, and I don't care what anybody says, if it doesn't have a clutch, it's not a damn manual.

there's a reason the ebrake has two buttons, confort reasons, some use two fingers for triggers but some only use one so it's good that you can use a thumb button too like x.

l3 is horn and steering, r3 is camera and back view, considering you already have your fingers in l2/r2 to drive, tell me genius how exactly and confortably can you assing MT controls in GTAV?

you can't without screwing up the controls which are suposed to be logical and acessible.

MT would need to have a "wheel selection" like weapons and radio do. now tell me, how stupid and impractical would that be?

Dude you're retarded lol I'm sure anyone who wants manual transmission would gladly give up a e brake button for it, I use x for ebrake so r1 could be clutch, you wouldn't have to worry about it if you don't like manual transmission

Easy, Gear up = A/X, gear down = B/Circle.

Nobody needs cinematic camera or a 2nd handbrake.

Problem solved.

Depends which part of the world you live, when efficiency or performance matters manuals are used. Europe is full of them. I'm in Australia but my family only drive manuals. If there's no manual option on are we don't buy it, simple.

If people really wanted to drive a manual the last place would be in GTA. You really think youre going to be driving down shifting gears and shooting simultaneously? Go pick up forza/gran turismo OP.

if manual transmissions were ever popular in videogames they would be standard, but go figure that they are the most unused feature in games, even in racing games only a small minority use them.

you want the majority to get screwed out of functional controls because you the minority wan't gta to be an accurate racing sim

yeah, keep telling me on how i'm the retarded one.

Not fir competitive cars, semi-automatic at least is essential for both speed and more importantly for fuel and tire conservation (via short shifting). On the other hand slow road cars probably don't even need a driver any more

"Semi-Automatic" isn't manual. It may be faster at shifting, it may hold more power, but if you ask anybody that actually drives/races a TRUE manual car, they will tell you it's just not the same lol
