I've got nothing against people buying them, but I don't agree with this new strategy of in-game purchases developers are using to draw more cash out of consumers. It's just pure greed. I understand businesses are profit orientated, but developers are just being greedy these days. I think it's slowly ruining games more and more. Developers are even moulding the game around this now.

 

Take GTAO for example: spend months and months to get enough cash from absurdly low payout jobs to buy a nice house/vehicles, by which time the game has died, people have moved on to other games OR buy a cash card and have all the nice things today. The same principle works on FIFA 14 UT: take ages to earn money from matches or selling cards well to afford the best players OR buy fifa points and go on a pack opening binge and find your player/raise funds to buy him that way.

 

 

In a nut shell, i think I paid enough when I bought the game and they certainly made "enough" in sales. Please stop ruining games with these in-game purchases.

Revaluate what?Its a straight fact that if you can't earn enough in gtao & have to buy cash cards in order to buy your new toys,you obviously suck at gtao.I only play 1-2 hours daily,yet I have more than enough cash.You should Revaluate the way you play gtao coz you are obviously playing it wrong

The reasoning is you're funding the DLC. I think of it as not only virtual money but also as a "donation" (I know it's not really a donation, but it's like I'm chipping in).

I have purchased two cards in total since release, but I'll avoid buying any more until an update or three after heists.

 

Edit: I will say though, I f'king hate this system, I would get more enjoyment if they let me purchase a 'one week payout multiplier' (so I have to go on a mission spree all week - but feel like I"m actually earning the money) or pay a fee to unlock the ability to buy things in game - e.g. $5 unlocks 5 new cars or something - cars that aren't required to win races - then put mission payouts back to how they were and/or put quick restart back in.

I don't mind giving rockstar a little money to keep developing more content. This is only game I've played since it was released.
