Bulletproof Rear Vehicles Unbalanced and Illogical

Ya, you can always just blow them up. But then what? I gotta pay 10k because some 12 year old duped an XF 4 months ago and now thinks he's really good because no one can shoot him? Idk. That seems kinda crazy too

R* gave us no weight and an extreme amount of ammmo and a military arsenal, they want us exploding one another and spending our money. That way we grind, or buy shark cards. Or you can just accept bad sport and kill all cars till your broke and unarmed.

100% correct.. This is so obvious its funny.. Free roam PVP is basically a way for R* to keep players broke.

Which i why i usually stash all my cash on ALT before a night of strict free roam.

Now.. I don't pay insurance when blowing up expensive cars. The attacker does as they should. And i don't waste any cash hospital bills.

I save a TON of cash by doing this.

A 5 min mission pays for it, who cares, quit crying.

lol... Whos crying? People seem to be crying when they pay for their own insurance tho :D

I sure as hell am not playing that silly 'I need to pay for their mistakes games"...

BULLsh*t?!?!? That WORKS?!?!?

Ohhh.. hell ya.

Make an alt character... Transfer cash to that ALTS hands and you're free of R* money sucking bullsh*t. :D

But how tho? I know they share bank account and cash is separate. But if Char 1 gives all money to Char 2. Then Char 1 blows up an XF. How doesn't Char 1 earn bad sport easily for not paying on the car?

Lol yea, it's pretty dumb how that works.

Were shooting at the engine so maybe it should be alot more damage when shooting at the backside like that. In order to compensate the "bullet proof-ness''

Well not all bullet proof cars have their engine in the back.

But that would make Infernus. Entity and Adder drivers back off faster.

Oh, I don't know my bullet proof vehicles. Only the ones you mentioned. Doesn't the new car that has the cheese grader back have the engine in the back too?

Insurance fees and bulletproof cars don't mix. Rockstar knows this but changing it would affect cash card sales.

A bit OT tho.. But.

They share the Bank Accounts ( For cash card reasons of course).. So deposit cash from your MAIN characters HANDS to the bank.. Swap characters.. Then withdraw cash to the ALTS hands. Swap back to your main..and you will no longer have that said cash in play.

I've been doing this since i was attacked by a bunch of Entity kids back in October.. It feels great when they attack now and you just blow them up, they get the bill and are like "WTF"?

Ya.. WTF deez nuts. :D

The only Super with a bullet proof rear with the engine in front is the Bullet i think.

Theres alot of other ones with their engine in front.. Jester...Sandking..Rebel.. and a few more.

You get BAD SPORT anyways.. With or without cash. Which is why it doesn't matter.

But that doesn't matter as long as you don't over do it. You'll keep good sport.. I've never had bad sport and i've been doing this since October.

I can say this.. Once that happens said player won't attack you again in their high price insured super. They be like "f*ck that broke ass' :D

Another problem is the ridiculous guns. GTAO should have just had some basic weapons such as a standard pistol, smg, ak, sawn off shotgun, melees, and maybe some grenades when you get to level 120. At the very least they should remove the AP pistol and make it so you cant throw stickys while driving.

YEah, you sound like R* now.

No fun.

it really is poor game design

should have never made it past testing (if they even did any testing at all, I'd say we're still doing their beta testing)

Ok, but there is that layer of risk. If you over do it. Just making sure. And yes odds are high they may avoid you. But I gun for those guys. I can afford they insurance. They can't, and those are targets aren't they? Ya know grief em till they dunce?

Or, or, you could just blow them up? Blowing up a "few" PVs will not put you in the bad sport lobby. At worst you have to pay a little over $9k which I'm sure is drop in the bucket for most long term players, or simply make a new character and swap the majority of your money to that character so you don't use all your cash defending your self.

That should by you time to drive off while he respawns and calls his insurance and mechanic. Unless the guy is a real a-hole and follows you around for the rest of the session, continuing to respawn his vehicle. In which case you should just do a mission or leave.

Theres a layer of risk with or without cash. If you go around doing this for LULZ you'll get BAD sport if no matter what, whether you pay insurance or not. This is why i use it as defense not as a trolling gimmick. Some use it for trolling tho, which is why i drive cheaper insured cars in free roam (2k and under) so either way i can afford to pay for my own cars and it doesn't sting.

I tell you this.. I've never seen someone attack me AGAIN after blowing them up and making them pay. Maybe on foot, but now thats a fair fight and its deemed 'GOOD SPORT'. But they sure as hell never attack again in their Entity. They don't want to pay another insurance cost.

I'm not looking for a way to endlessly destroy PV's. I can care less really about it. I have no issue spending the money on the insurance. Just caught wind of a rumor in not spending money. Wanted to pursue it. I normally just blow em up and earn money back from jobs and missions. It's not hard to grind, just some work to do so (which work in a game is play, so complaint about grinding is bitching about playing, but that's a different thread)

Whats fun about using a mini gun or doing drive by sticky bombs? They should leave all the rocket launchers and tanks to single player. No criminal has access to these weapons in NA. And that's what GTAO is about, rising through the criminal ranks in LA. All the military weapons should be Invite only or SP only.

I've noticed that after prolonged shooting, the Entity's engine does start to smoke and sputter. I never noticed that until 2 patches ago, hey it's something I guess.

Bulletproof-backed vehicles have really ruined the concept of free roam. They either need to be nerfed or every vehicle given the option to have a bulletproof rear window to compensate.

Now that, is something I'm on board with. I drive cars under 2k as well. Hell the futo, sultan, and Akuma are $112 bucks lol. Love it

Agreed.

Solution is to make them not bulletproof - in real life a rifle bullet would go straight through a car, and 5/10 pistol / smg bullets would too.

The problem is the game doesn't actually simulate bullet trajectory at all. If it did, then you could have penetrable panels other than glass and it wouldn't be too unfair because the bullets would have a deflection and velocity change. Ricochets and bullet drop would also make the game more interesting (and fair), but would -also obviously be a sales killer.

and that's where you are wrong my friend :D

That's fully true. But then your a "newb, a bum, a scrub, a troll, etc". But it's the only way to level against bullet proof unless you do it as well. But you just end up blowing one another up anyways.

When two Alpha cars go at it theres 3 outcomes. One is blowing them up..

Another is getting ahead of them and shooting backwards. High speed chase style, the car in front has the advantage,

And last is out driving them and/or using off the radar.

On foot tho.. When a bullet proof car attacks while sitting backwards. The player on foot is screwed unless they blow it up. Which is makes no sense that said player should pay anything at all for defending ones self.

But thats the thing... They won't stop till you actually get away and go passive.

Its pretty easy to get the 1st cheap shot kill then jump all over their quick spawns. If you're fast enough you're on them right as they spawn.

Which is usually how it happens.. They pull up and attack... Then get a quick few spawn kills. Sure.. you get away eventually.. but the principle still exists. The feeling of being superior due to bullet proof back ends and the insurance shield.

Now being in another Bullet Proof car blocks the easy 1st cheap shot. Which can stop the latter.

I can't even count how many times a bullet proof ass has saved me from cheap shots that are close or far.. Im sitting there minding my own business and PING off the rear end. I just laugh..

Hell the 1st day i got my Bullet.. I pulled out of the LSC and PING PING PING.. Off my ass.. Some guy was camping on the roof. I just calmly shot back with a pistol and killed him.. Thats why Bullet proof cars are so OP. They make everyone in back a joke in most cases.
