Xbox 360 Slim, I bought it used and only had it freeze on me about 3-4 times since purchasing it back in September (solely for the purpose to play this game).

I used to play this on a 160GB PS3 Slim but the Bluray drive crapped out. Now i play on a 500GB PS3 Super Slim.

All versions are the same performance wise, so this thread is pretty pointless.

But if you ask, PS3 slim and Xbox 360 Slim before.

Not to flame but I've seen Xbox 360 GTA in standard def and ewww. Ps3 SD even looks better( my girl has an xbox).

All Xbox and all PS3 versions are the same performace wise. I didn't say that PS3 and Xbox are the same.

And you can't compare standard definition and HD.

4 year old PS3 model 2001 320GB. The blu-ray drive went to sh*t, so i bought the digital version on PSN. As of late, it hasn't been rendering the world as fast as it did, and turns into a hair dryer in 5 minutes, but hey, its not like GTA online is freezing :pp

2006 40GB PS3. No issues on it yet but it's hard to keep enough hd space for new games.

I think it's a 2010 230 gb PS3 slim.

Man I hate the freezes, every time I play I get one or a few. Well, at least I'm not the only one with this issue..

Flameboy2278

80GB Fat PS3. Had it for about 5 years now. Still going good besides the odd freezes when people go tank crazy on a server.

Xbox 360.

I feel this topic was created purely so PS3 and Xbox 360 users could argue about which console is best.

No, I'm genuinely curious about the majority of the people playing on older consoles.

Gears of war limited edition console bought it 3 years ago

Got two controllers for free but gta v doesnt have split screen what a shame

Yeah, it was kind of disappointing to find out they didn't release gta v with capability of split screen, but it's likely because it'd be way too much pressure on the console

It's so it puts pressure on a family to buy another console for the house and another game..... it's all about money. You'll learn that about the world once you get out of school and get into the real world. not trying to sound like a jerk... it's just the facts of life.

is it just me or is a 2006 ps3 or a 7 year old xbox running GTA V really miraculous

Not many old Xbox survived. My brother has one from release day that still runs but he's only used it for about 50 hours in total. He was too scared to get it hot in case it bricked so he's been using his 60gig ps3 with upgraded 300gig drive ever since. Xbox lives in the cupboard it hasn't been switched on in at least 6 years.

I'm still using my 60gig ps3 too, runs sooo smooth, like its brand new. Its a very high quality bit of gear, I have a lot of friends with original release fat PS3s and never heard of one failing.

This particular game is the same on both (and many games are). But the playstations ps2/ps3/ps4 have so far had a slight performance advantage at each generation so far. We buy both PS and Xboxes because of the exclusive games on each system but the play stations have always been our workhorse systems. My PS1, PS2 and PS3 all still run like the day they left the factory and they have been used a LOT. Edited by elfoam

Slim ps3 erh 160gig had it 3 years now i think got it after my fat ps3 died while playing uncharted 2.

No problems other then gta starting to freeze alot now which is annoying because some dbag kept blowing up my zentorno last night *he was paying for it* and i froze while calling mors for it back i get worried that this kinda crap will make me lose one of my cars so iv started to avoid sessions back to invite only lol.

Halo 4 Edition Xbox 360. Funny thing is, I don't even like Halo that much, I just really liked the design of the console and controllers. Runs great except for the freezes that occur every so often.
