What kind of console do you play GTAO on?

I play on a 5-year old x360 elite. However, my friend's 7-year old xbox somehow survives playing a high end game such as GTA O.

They're basically identical, why wouldn't it be able to play it?

because it shouldn't be alive XD

also they're not identical the older models use jet engines as cooling or something XD

anyway I'm playing gta 5 on my 4th xbox 360 or something

used to have an old white one but it broke 3 times, twice within warranty and than once outside of it.

so I bought a new shiny black one (slim model or something) 2-3 years ago

which is what I'm still using atm

Xbox 360 slim 250GB ive own for close to 4years and is still going strong. I used to have the original 360 til it got plagued with the RED RING OF DEATH. Sometimes i feel like im the only one that owns an xbox on this forum.

2006 release edition 60GB fat PS3. Old working horse.

Dang, that's real old! I'm surprised you're still living on 60gb, lol. Every game now requires like 10 gb of space

I have the same one lol, but the space is the reason I just had to get a 500gb slim which is what I play gta on.

Same here. Still working like a boss, and only sometimes freezing.

It's pretty insane how we play a really high end game on such old machines, yet PC's get too outdated every 2-3 years.

I play on a 2006 ps3 that I was forced to buy when GTA IV came out. And every time I play GTAO, man the fan on that thing really kicks into high gear

If GTAV comes out on PC I'm willing to bet my laptop from 2010 could run it.

I run this game on my 80GB PS3 from '07. I'm surprised it hasn't crapped out on me, I used to leave the house for days and leave it paused in whatever game i was playing.

Xbox 360 Slim 250Gb had it about a year now, only freezes when I first get into a public session. Clearing the cache normally then allows me to play for the rest of the night without issues. My other half just brought a new 360 E and we will be going online together soon

Super Slim PS3. Got it not last Christmas, the Christmas before. I did have an Xbox before that, and went through about 5, they kept breaking down. My PS3 has lasted well so far. Only annoying thing about the Super Slim is it gets dusty way too easily.

PS3 Slim 120GB. I've had it a little over a year but have no idea how old it is as I got it used. Haven't had any problems with it yet.

XB360 Slim.

The older consoles can play it because the specs are near identical. The only difference between the newer consoles and the older ones (besides looks) is the reliability.

is it just me or is a 2006 ps3 or a 7 year old xbox running GTA V really miraculous

Why?

They have the same exact specs as the super slim & E versions.

I play on my Xbox 360 S model(the first slim Xbox 360 that came out).

But I do have the very first PS3 that came out, with an upgraded 500 GB hard drive.

I specifically went searching for this PS3 because it can play PS2 games, and I love it.

They don't get "outdated", they just get better upgrades, which let games look even better. A PC that is capable of looking better than an Xbox 360 game 10 years ago, is still capable of that even 50 years from then.

The thing is, PC specs don't remain maxed out for long. I would hardly consider that "outdated". A maxed out PC 10 years ago would still be able to play most games at close to max settings even today.

All versions are the same performance wise, so this thread is pretty pointless.

But if you ask, PS3 slim and Xbox 360 Slim before.

Xbox 360.

I feel this topic was created purely so PS3 and Xbox 360 users could argue about which console is best.

Tabula Rasa

Post RRoD 2007 model Xbox 360 "white arcade model, I bought a hard drive cheap off a friend and reformatted it when I bought it", runs like a charm; it hasn't had a single problem since I bought it, but I do tend to install my most heavily played games when I get the chance in order to take demand off the disc drive. I guess I have had it for about 7 years, maybe less..its one of the most solid products I own by far considering how many things I use it for and how often its on.

6 year old slim PS3 that hasn't had any maintenance and still runs as smooth as a baby's butt

6 year old? Slim model was released fall 2009. Anyway, I've got a basic fat, 5 year old PS3.
