I'm not one of those dense Adder hunters, I own one myself. I'm just wondering.

Nah, it's just optical. Car model is not the collision mesh.

I bought a Voltic before you could choose hardtop or convertible, and got lucky because mine had a hard top. The whole car is the same color. I made a new character and got another Voltic (and chose hard top) and now you can't make it match the rest of the color of the car. It is stuck as that ugly dark gray color. I really like this game, but if they can hotfix glitches people take advantage of to make money, why can't they fix this kind of stuff? I mean, c'mon. The Adder costs a million dollars, but there is an ugly ass hole in the back of it? Like the car or not, I would expect better from such a huge gaming company.

Because... well... Let's take a look.

 

Case 1:

Topless car option available before High Life (example: 9F) costs 8k-10k more than the normal one.

But, the topless cars available AFTER High Life (example: stinger, coquette) costs at least 20k more than the normal one.

 

Case 2:

They were active when releasing patches and hotfixes to counter hacks and glitches related to in-game money.

But, "mission failed condition" bugs which affecting all mission especially the infamous RR are left without any mention of fixing it in the future.

 

So I guess we know what their biggest obsession is? Well, I already know and am sure of it.

To be quite fair R* really did a half-assed job with the design of 99% of the cars in the game.
The only exceptions for me are the Z-type, Warrener, Turismo R, Buccaneer, soft-top Tornado and the Dominator.
The design for the rest of the cars is almost unbearrable for me, there's always something in them that kills it for me.

There should definitely be more visual mods for the adder. I don't know if I would put a spoiler on it but it would be cool if we had some custom bumpers and skirts.

Not on the user end, no. Your only option is to contact R* Support. Not sure if they'll be able to do much about it. Am dealing with them myself now for this very same issue.

 

Over a dozen people have reported this exact issue on the R* Support page (questions) but it doesn't seem like a solution will be forthcoming anytime soon.

You're right, it doesn't have a working spoiler, no. The missing texture / panel on the Adder is where the spoiler would be, however, only it's permanently retracted and completely non-functional. I call it a spoiler for convenience - most people immediately know what you mean by it whereas missing panel or texture is rather vague.

 

Call it what we may, spoiler, panel, texture; I find it rather annoying that there's currently a gaping hole on the back end of my Adder to be honest. It's unseemly. R* Support doesn't sound like they'll be of much help in that regard either.

I'm sure this happened because they added the roofless cars to legendarymotorsport.

The bad part is that I bought a roofless Coquette and I clicked through the roof options and only selected the carbon roof to see it. Because there is no roofles option in that menu, you lose the roofless option right there, never to come back. I never choose to buy the roof option. Got it for free, with no remove option.

That panel is supposed to be secondary color, yes, but IGG 1 reverted the bodystyle back to 0 or 254. It's the same glitch from back in 1.13 that was supposedly fixed with 1.14.

 

Right now any Adder bought on Online after IGG 1 comes with a gaping hole in the rear. This is mine, bought last Saturday (July 11th, 2015):

 

 

 

 

 

It's still completely stock as I received it from the website, that's why it's got that ugly color. Went to upgrade & customize it at LSC when I noticed that gaping hole staring at me.

 

Over a dozen people have reported the same issue on the R* Support page the past month alone across all platforms but there's no fix in sight.

Figured I'd post this so people who have the same issue know what's going on. Have been looking for information myself and it's a bit scattered all over the place.

• As detailed in the opening post of this thread, the missing texture / panel / spoiler on the Adder is caused by a glitch in the game files which sets the body style value to 0 or 254. This glitch was first introduced with update 1.13 (May 13th, 2014). It was supposedly fixed with update 1.14 (June 17th, 2014).

   

• The bodystyle 0 glitch was reintroduced with update 1.27 (Ill Gotten Gains 1, June 10th 2015) and to date has not been fixed.

• This means that, if you buy an Adder in Online from Legendary Motorsports, it will have the missing texture / panel / spoiler. There is no legitimate solution for this on the user end. Buying another Adder will not solve the issue as they will all come like this.

  Bear in mind that this list is by no means exhaustive. You will also find questions about it on other forums and on youtube. Plus, not everyone who contacts R* Support makes a thread about it.

   

• Your only option with this is to contact R* Support with a detailed explanation and either clear pictures or a video. Whether they'll be able to solve anything remains to be seen. I have contacted them several days ago and they've given me the run around. Several other people whose questions I've posted above have had similar results.

Tl;dr. Do not buy an Adder unless you want one with the missing texture / panel. If you have already bought one, you need to contact R* Support but it's unclear if they'll be able to solve this.
