What can be done about saboteurs?

I've noticed a recent spate of people joining missions and deliberately compromising them, wether it be blowing up the objective item, or infinitely more annoyingly collecting the objective item and sitting somewhere with it wasting everyone's time. What can be done about this? I know you can submit bad player reviews and kick from lobbies, but it takes more time to do that than to restart the whole mission. Also, if I have to do it every time I get one of these idiots, I'll be spending more time on the dashboard than in the game itself. Why so many of them?

Time waster:

Enters a mission, wastes peoples time, gets people to leave, zero consequences, gets a big old laugh.

Honest player:

Starts a mission, has time wasted, has to leave mission, bad sport warning for leaving mission early, no money or RP, can't select quick restart without them and often loses interest from other good players.

We need a very strict bad reputation stat for these people so they can be preemptively kicked from missions.

Tangent thoughts, somewhat relevant:

1. Yes, I'm mainly noticing it in Coveted and Rooftop Rumble, but still. I hope for their own sanity that its not people so supportive of cash cards that they are going to hamper the progress of the alternative method by any means, that would just be so sad I could weep.

2. It seems to me that GTA:O favours this kind of behaviour on many levels. Repeatedly running people over is far advantageous to getting up off the floor and shooting the driver. Tanks are still way overpowered, allowing tank trolls to dominate whatever area they choose unchallenged, otherwise docile players having cars impounded when retaliating after being killed, and many other little things here and there which really seems to make GTA:O a walk in the park for 'bad sports' and a real challenge for good sports.

3. This brought me on to the next tangent thought. It seems that although the game allows for this behaviour, it simultaneously gives you negative stamps like bad sport, dunce hats and now high mental state statistics, while at the same time giving a measly $2,000 to good sports for good behaviour. If it were $35,000 at the same intervals, I think Rockstar would see a lot more good sport behaviour. Although I'm pretty sure those with high mental states are still receiving this money. I think GTA:O may be confused.

Nothing can be done since there is no possible way the game can detect mission griefing. The only thing I can think of is allowing teammates to phase through each other like in no-contact racing, meaning you cannot run over teammates during a mission. Also make it that teammates rockets and such phase through your PV, but yours do not phase through your PV. The people who blow up your PV then run you over are the worst because there is no possible way to counter it other than getting to high ground, and not being able to fight back.

If they steal the objective, kill them/destroy the objective. It's far quicker than waiting for them to get bored of trolling.

Guy steals chopper and flys away from the objective, I steal a chopper, and crash into him. I'm a good sport! :)

Its easy, first time you blow up an objective or kill another player during a mission, you get a warning, second time is automatic 3 days in the Bad Sport Lobby.

It's very easy to not sabotage a mission and it would cut down on those who think they're smart enough to blow up just the right stuff.... until they aren't

When the somebody on RR doesnt help with the mission, and is AFK at their spawnpoint. I wait for them to leave before I deliver the package, I f*cking hate that behaviour even more <3

I don't know why I got it (honestly, I wasn't griefing a mission) but I once got a warning that players were voting for me to be removed from the mission. It was otherwise exactly the same as the warning you get when someone votes to kick you from a session. That means that other players can kick people from job sessions. Just get on the mic or text the others and be rid of them. You may need to fail the mission in order to start over again (depending on what damage they caused), but you'll then be in a session with just the remaining players.

Isn't that problem solved?

1) Tanks, I'm not a tank griefer/troll but I do so enjoy my tank, and there can be some pretty exciting tank battles. And you do realize it's a tank right?? If you hopped in a tank IRL, you would be a little overpowered, take a look at some of the news footage of people who have gone on real tank rampages.

Stop complaining about the damn tanks and go buy one yourself, at least in my case I don't start killing people in my tank unless they attack me and I use my tank to destroy these trolls, I know others do the same so we aren't all bad.

2) good sport rewards, I don't know why but one day I received $2000 for good behavior, then some time later I received $4000. It was only the one time I got $4000 but there is a possibility that with continuous good behavior the rewards double each time.

And yes, psychos do receive the reward of $2000, I know I do and I'm only psycho from killing cops.

3) The rest of these assholes are just that, assholes. I agree we need some kind of way to stop it, but it doesn't seem likely. GTA does nothing but spawn trolls, it always has we just never had to play with them until now

Provided you can get the other players to kick. Some dude took the documents during RR and went out to sea with them, I voted to kick and messaged the other two players to do the same. Didn't get replies and the guy didn't get kicked, I had to quit the mission after 10 minutes of waiting.

I'm not sure if vote to kick even works, there were 8 of my crew members in a sessions with 4 other people (12 total players), we all voted to kick some garage killing douche and he never got kicked. Surely 8 out of 12 people should be enough?

Ya, we need to put people like you in the mix as well, some how R* should be able to tell your being a jerkoff,

I think that one should go automatic to BS since it cant really be done accidentlly !

and the more people in the lobby being delayed the more BS days

I'm not sure of the mechanics, so can't answer that. It does sound enough to me, but there's obviously some logic somewhere that says "yes" or "no". I have been kicked from sessions before now so I can definitely say that it does work. I recently got kicked from a session where there were 2 guys in tanks and they were spawn-killing a low level guy. I started firing RPGs at them and they voted me off. That was, at best, 2 people out of 4, so less percentage-wise than your scenario. Who knows. Maybe they bought more cash cards than me :D

I don't give a sh*t really, when people think they can host RR lobby's invite everybody then start the game and just go jerk off and let other people do all the work for them I make sure it gets non profitabel. There are to many people doing it, and just don't comply.

Sorry dude, just play your own mission if you host it. Don't be a wanker (literally) <3

Vote to kick them from the mission. Also just play solo on missions. It honestly goes so much faster not having to wait for others.

For races, if they're not thoguht out good enough, then I sabotage the race lol.

Like if some jackass has a one lane only section, I will turn my car sideways and block all the cars just for sh*ts and giggles lol.

Or those dumb stairway to heaven maps? I go on the very last ramp in the air and stop. Just so that everyone thinks they're about to win, but they see my big butt blocking the checkpoint buahaa

But for missions I don't sabotage.

I spawn kill them repeatedly when we get back into free mode and then I put them on into my Avoided Players queue once they change sessions.

Black Rabbit

I've had my personal vehicles blown up more in the last two days by "teammates" during missions than I have in the last two months during missions.

Rooftop Rumble is especially bad...but, f*ck it, you blow up my personal vehicle, I will walk calmly over to you with document in hand and pull the clip on a grenade. I don't give a sh*t if I don't beat the mission, you're not getting a payday for blowing up my car.
