That said, I've ran into a FEW younger kids who try to take the game seriously, while at the same time some 26 year old ignorant college punk with daddy issues is screaming insults at everyone, "bitch" and "nigga" being used every 5th word.

I think a lot can be blamed on the massively underage kids playing the game. They are the bane of society and it just absolutely sickens me hearing those high pitched squeaky voices over the mic shouting profanity and acting tough. They drive around in horrendous looking cars (chradders, rainbow sandkings etc..) and just ruin the game for the people who have actually played previous GTA games and are hardcore fans of the series

 

I mean, GTA IV's online had little features in comparison to this, yet it seemed like SO much fun at the time and everyone enjoyed it and played it for months upon months! Of course there were spoilt brats back then playing the game as well, but in comparison to those currently playing GTA V online, its no where near the same amount.

 

If there were no dumbass kids playing games they shouldn't be allowed too, I think we all would have had so much more fun in the game.. I for one know for a fact that I would have had at least twice the amount of fun on this game if it was't for those little sh*t stains. First they ruin COD, next im sure it was battlefield, currently GTA and in less than a months time it will inevitably be watchdogs The best i can hope for is that once watchdogs comes out, they migrate over there and leave me alone in GTA for a while in peace!

 

They need to make stricter laws to stop 12 year olds playing 18 rated games

I can safely say they haven't ruined BF4. The game's to complicated for their feeble, underdeveloped minds. They get shredded for 2 matches, the go back to CoD crying about how BF4 sucks...when it's in fact THEM that suck at a tactical shooter...whereas there's ZERO tactical anything in a CoD game...but that's another rant for another time.

 

I agree with you to an extent. The underaged Wigga kids are a part of the reason the experience sucks ass. But so are the trolls. You know, those people who for whatever reason have "fun" ruining the fun of everyone else in a session. Of course now that we have the mental state stat, it's easier to find these users and run them out of a session.

Exactly. I've been playing games for a very long time (I'm 17) but never before did I resort to playing an online game in order to behave like a brat. I would say they need tighter restrictions on pre-teens playing games but that's a bit too far as they're only games. What I'd love is some type of lobby differentiation, sure, it'd divide the community, but giving us lobby options like 'relaxed' or 'action' prior to going online would help ease the experience a little bit.

I am the lucky one.My gaming region is squeaker free.Every lobby I join is quiet or one or two foreigners saying some sort of foreign language that does not bother me.Only time I met this kind of people is when I join a random deathmatch.

I was in a Freemode chat with this redneck chick once and two dudes came in there speaking Spanish. It was fine by me, it's the Freemode chat, anyone can use it. Anyway, they're speaking Spanish for a bit until the chick says "why don't y'all speak English?" So one of the Spanish-speaking dudes says "OK, why don't you shut the f*ck up, you f*cking bitch?" Whole room fell out laughing.

 

And I can't stand the kids who sound like they've never ventured one foot out of the suburbs saying "nigga" every other word. Have some f*cking tact. Just 'cause (insert tough-guy rapper here - I'm old and behind the times) says "nigga" doesn't mean you get to, whitey.

I think it's less to do with their squeaky voices and more so with how they play.

Shoot anybody on sight, constantly calling their tanks, stickying every PV they see.. they just ruin the potential this game has.

Well I agree with that! But when CoD started dying and all the 'mature' players started moving over to battlefield 3/4 the kids tried jumping the bandwagon as well, but obviously BF took actual skill so they left again back to cod

 

And yes, they just ruin the full potential of this experience

its not even the fact that they squeak, its just their playstyle. They play specifically to annoy other players and 'try' to harass them, but obviously they get destroyed by players who can actually play the game

Same here. I generally have chat set to friends & crew anyway. I occasionally set it to everyone if I want to see what's going on with other players, but most of the time I don't want to hear people *of any age* singing, arguing with their spouses, telling their dog to "get the f*ck down", burping, farting, taking phone calls, calling everyone in the room ni**er (as if it's actually their name!), mouth breathing, performing sexual acts or taking a dump, all of which I have heard from adults during my time playing this game online.

you're wrong, yes a mentality problem within the community is contributing

but the main problem lies in the games design

lets assume for a second that the number of underage or just immature players is the same as in gta 4's online

what could they do to grief or hurt someone's experience? nothing really

there were no PV's, no insurance or bank accounts, so all any1 could really do was kill you or blow up the car you were driving.

but there was also the friendly fire option for free roam completely removing any chance of griefing

 

now we have this half assed MMO or something with persistent characters, bank accounts and property and the potential for griefing grows exponentially

and for what, all so R* can sell their stupid little cash cards.

sure the annoying kids are the ones blowing up your expensive sh*t, but it's R* who makes you pay for it OVER AND OVER again.

Does it make you mad that I used to go from playing Sesame Street Sports to GTA Vice City in one sitting?

 

 

It's amazing how so many people claim to be the "adults", but continue to whine about kids playing "their game" and constantly are calling others racial and homophobic slurs over the internet.

 

The truth is that I've met way more "nice" people under 18 online. Sure, some may be annoying, but at least they aren't complete jerks like the majority of the "adult" community.
