A major factor in GTA Online being suckish

I swear, I never imagine someone playing badly because they're a certain age. I'm sure there are kids who are rather good at this game, much like all videogames.

I do hate them on the mic in the game chat. That "DON'T KILL ME! DON'T KILL ME! DON'T KILL ME!" and the teenage girl at Justin BIeber concert scream gets old quick. Prolly not as old as the asshole playing music over the chat line, but old nevertheless. Also hated: people plaing "characters," like guys imitating little kids.

The problem with these kids is they just don't understand how difficult it is to make a game this awesome. I didn't enjoy GTA IV at all, and the online was boring, yet these same kids gave GTA IV super high praise, I think it even scored higher than GTA V. They made some amazing progress in GTA V, this is the best game I've ever played in my life.

I ALWAYS see you in a lobby-.- lol

For me the biggest thing that makes it suckish is how quick everything is to do.

I haven't played for 2 months. Some people have played almost daily for those mobths makibg sure theu have enough money and getting ready for the high life stuff.

Its taken then a month or so to be ready. I haven't played in that month yet could log in and have everything they've spent the month saving for in 10 or 20 minutes.

The thing is gta has never been a short game or a fast game. So why is everything online so quick to do.

There isnt anything online I can't get in 5 minutes of deciding I want it.

we need more age restricting laws

you already can't smoke 'til you're 18, can't drink 'til you're 21, can't drive until you're 16, can't "legally" look at porn unless you're 18, can't visit strip clubs unless you're 18..

something like that needs to revolve solely around using wi-fi

Maybe It doesn't bother me because I keep public lobbies on mute. Otherwise all you hear is

- squeaks

- juvenille wannabe tough guy morons

- gargling, sneezing, fapping middle age people

- domestic disputes, dogs barking

- white noise, bad music, racism

In an ideal world we could eradicate all of this trash from online games, I can't help thinking it would impact negatively on a diverse and colourful playerbase of potential victims. If everybody was really mature and well behaved in every lobby it would be boring. The trash of the online gaming community is a necessary evil.

Nothing can be done about kids playing online games, contact you're local police you'll get in trouble for time wasting. Between that and the fact that there's no reliable correlation between age and playstyle or maturity levels leaves me feeling indifferent about who I'm in a lobby with.

That's just crazy... we don't need laws to enforce every societal norm. We need society policing itself...

it was a joke

in all seriousness though, society isn't going to "police" itself. willpower is almost a thing of the past these days

Saying "what we need" isn't going to ever achieve anything. If you don't police it, people abuse it. That's general human nature, and there's not a damn thing complaining about it will do.

Yes... don't know how saying "what we need" hurts, but I certainly don't want the police getting involved. If you have friends who are parents then tell them their kids shouldn't play this game, if you hear squeakers, try to make noise to alert their parents to the inappropriatness... you know, curse loudly and often. Bringing the police into a cituation is always, always, going to make it worse. I certainly don't want to have to be concerned tha if my son pops open the game on a day I sleep in I have to face legal consequences. How would that help, but bring more chaos and pain into peoples lives? It's easy to say "people won't ever do anythn abut it" and just give power of the the authorites, but I say, I propose, that the harder option is the right option, the option that takes talk, action and ... curse words.

So bow down to authority if you want, bow to her. Bow to the Queen of Slime, the Queen of Filth, the Queen of Putrescence. Boo. Boo. Rubbish. Filth. Slime. Muck. Boo. Boo. Boo!!!!!!

What you're suggesting is the exact situation we have now, which is the problem.

And those of us giving a hard time to the squeeks, those of us griefing them out of wanting to play... we are taking action. The best action possible. I don't want to live in a Jackboot society, so I try to make my world what I want it to be.
