I have a 51 inch tv I play GTA on. I've noticed that at different times of the game's day/night cycle the crosshair dot will sway either to the left or right.

I was always under the impression that the dot was always spot-on. Is it just my tv's size? I did a quick search on forums for a topic but didn't find anything.

I've only played on Free Aim so I'm not sure if it makes a difference.

And no, I'm not putting tape on my tv to prove anything

Maybe it's your controller, put a piece of tape on your tv and see if it really moves or if you are tripping

A 90" tv may solve your problem.

or try checking your aiming stick on the controller

Yeah 50" tv is just too small you might want to invest in a projector

I was thinking of renting a Cinema theatre room for a weekend, to see if it solves anything

Have someone in or family or something put a finger on the crosshair. Then see if it moved, either that or Google it.

I have a 42" Screen and it doesnt have any issues. Besides the fact that i had to change the screen from full to regular to avoid the models looking too fat.

Good idea. I'll be back in a bit

Maybe it's the character breathing? Run a few miles and see if it sways more than usual.
I honestly can't think of any other reason. Also, it ain't your TV. I'm on a Panasonic 21 inch TV (where the back has a big ass) and it doesn't seem to move. Then again I have to squint to read text so...

Alright, I've been playing on 16:9 ratio for months. I set the controller down and rubber-banded the left trigger and the dot DOES move. It moves with the sun and moon cycle, to give perspective on how slowly it sways. I'm thinking maybe it's some countermeasure for people who dot their tv's with tape or something.

But just to test out my own theory I switched the picture mode to "Screen Fit" and am going to test it again.

It's insanely hard. Hooked up xbox to projector in auditorium once. I swear my eyes went into 120p mode

I have a 55" inch and no issues like that. Make sure your screen is calibrated to your console, would be my only guess on fixing it.

Confirmed to not be tripping. The dot moves ever so slightly throughout the day/night cycle in GTA (in free aim, anyway). Anyone else who'd dot their tv or test theory plz confirm.

IT'S A CONSPIRACY TO GRADUALLY GIVE US ALL MOTION SICKNESS SO WE HAVE TO STAY SITTING DOWN AND PLAY MORE GTA

Y'all play on projectors for Imax? Us real players have the information piped directly into the visual center of the brain
