Towbars and Trailers

I was having a little think whilst driving my Gresley around San Andreas. Only a few vehicles have a towbar (which can't be removed), such as the Bison. Do you guys think it would be a good idea for Rockstar to allow us to purchase a towbar for "most" vehicles at LS Customs? Why? Well, onto trailers. There are trailers, but for players, they are pretty useless. If Rockstar were to make different kinds of trailers, such as trailers for motorbikes, bicycles, jet skis... And make sure they actually stay put on the trailers without falling off unless really wreckless driving is involved. What do you guys think?

I massively approve, but it would require them put in trailers that you can pickup that dont only spawn already being towed. But definetly Bicycles and Motorcycles. I would also like the ability to pull two PV's out at a time. This way i can trailer my Dirtbike on the back of my Sadler and drive to bike meets, or trailer my motorcycles for a meet. Flat bed trailers would be sweet too, i could trailer one of my cars for a track day. The possibilities are literally endless, and would add a huge variable to GTA:O and it would be an absolute ton of fun. Not to mention making it easier for crews that do fun stuff more options to do their fun stuff.

 

My crew does BMX and Motocross, not to mention some mountain biking, and drag racing. Mountain bikes are impossible to find unless you buy one, so you have to ride all the way out which isnt entertaining, or steal a pickup to bunnyhop it into the bed of the truck.

 

 

So orderable Trailers from pegasus that dont despawn until you switch lobbies, and two PV's out a time. This would be Glorious.

I would really like to be able to trailer a Blazer and Seashark. Would feel more realistic, adding some life to online.

 

Until some asshat sticky bombs me on the way to the ocean.

won't work we got a empty one and tried loading a boat on it and it glitches like crazy

Perhaps having the trailers available for purchase on the in-game website would be a good idea. Each trailer could be found on a specific website, for example a trailer for bicycles could be found on pandmcycles.com or boat trailers on docktease.com. I believe having "working" trailers would be a great addition. Especially as it allows players to transport vehicles rather than using a Cargobob all of the time.

Too bad this would be fun so it won't be allowed by Rockstar. I would love to have it, but Rockstar hates seeing us having fun.

I would love this too, but the main problem I see with it is that you're basically asking for 2 vehicles out of the garage at the same time. From the whole vehicle/garage mechanics I'm assuming that they've specifically made it 1 vehicle at a time for a reason (probably due to limitations). This may be asking for too much, unfortunately.

For one we are gamers we always ask for too much.

 

For two you could limit this by making it available in private sessions or crew only, disable the mechanic so that removes one hassle. For one i full support 2 PV's at a time, i would rather assume that the PV limit is because you cannot physically drive two cars at once.

 

Barring that bicycles are easy enough to find, sanchez's in certain areas same story.

 

But this as an item i would like to see addressed myself.

f*ck I'd actually $.5mil for a trailer mod just imagine being able to tow your bicycles, jet skies and even jet boats to a location on the map you want to ride in!!! I'd also be ready to pay 2mil for a titan plane that allows you to transport cars!!!

Yes the gas thing would add immersion, but trailers and towing stuff adds useful things. :beerhat:

True :) That's why I fully support OP. Towing stuff is always awesome. And imagine the things you could do... :p

 

In TLAD they already had a feature like this. You stole motorcycles and drove them in the back of a truck. Then you closed the hatch and drove away.

Yes but it is a royal pain getting them in and out and if you lose the tailgate all is lost.

cant you attact the boat the same way it detach? by backing trailer into water..

you can haul atvs on sandkings. if you dont have the double rollcage on the bed. it stays on pretty good. but looks really glitchy for other players some times.

Yes, that I think is also a towbar. A word with several meanings or appearences, by the looks of it. As for your question about re-attaching the boat the same way a detaching it doesn't work. The boat comes off of the trailer perfectly when backed up into water, but it will not go back on.

I would say a trailer in a garage would be not good for car collectors, due to the limited amount of space. If Rockstar were ever to implement this feature (doubt that) Its probably better, if a trailer were dropped close by - by Pegasus.

im not saying it will take up a space just put it in that back area what is blocked off by the 4 windows and when we go up to it we can select what vehicle to put it on and if it does take a space well screw car collectors i don't want to pay like $500 or more to get my trailer
