I would be ok with this if you could place it on the ground and use it as portable cover. For example, in a job or gang attack lots of time you have no cover while you are approaching the enemies, or, you've taken damage from the enemies or police and need to eat food, or wait to regenerate some health. Having portable cover would greatly help in these situations.

Because we don't have "riot shields" in the game already...

 

Besides, a riot shield that you could carry for a long time is only capable of protecting you from weak weapons like handguns and SMGs. A shield that can protect you from a high powered AR would be much heavier and moved around using wheels. Not to mention they would be near pointless considering people will just run you over, blow you up or just blast you in the face with a .50 Cal.

if you want shield , post it on wishlist instead . even there's a shield , it's no match aganist RPG , grenade , GL , vehicles impact or even my armor painted desert camo and 120mm cannon still outmatch a shield ( even the cannon itself can be used as blunt weapon , the strength

of cannon is far beyond than car crash and the force is enough to knock people . used to subdue people instead annihilate them )
