Game is unplayable now since last update

Okay this last update really f*cked things up. Online freezes when new players join, it freezes randomly as well, the creator freezes after a random amount of time, and now EVEN SINGLE PLAYER Freezes randomly. I cant even play the single player anymore. I play the game for a good 45 seconds and BAM FROZEN.

 

Anyone else having this same problem?

Never had problems with single-player but I've not played it too much recently. Online does keep freezing.

Yes I has to quit out my first try and been booted to single player all in the last. 5 minutes

How about losing a vehicle after a mission freezes up? I was doing that extradition mission, froze up with someone on the back of my bike. Next thing i know my fluorescent yellow Akuma gone. Just an empty spot in my garage and mechanic list.

on xbox and freezes all the time. and for my crew mates to.

 

i have always experienced lag while driving around though but this is also getting worse. sucks in races.

 

i lost 100k i spent doing up a stolen car when it froze.

Business update gave me online freezes a lot. However this new update its incresed in number and now is effecting single player. I could understand if it was online only but now single player is unplayable. I feel like R* RENTED me a game at this rate, and the rental period is over. I cant even play it....and every bug report about this gets the same AUTO REPLY and person saying "Well it must be your own console, it cant be our game servers..You should BUY A NEW PS3 ....DUUUUUUUURRRRR...."

 

I have lost all hope in R* at this point. I have been told by their non auto replies to buy a new console as its "my problem" not theirs.

 

Now I dont mean to rant or vent, but for f*cks sake...this is getting ridiculous.

I just had a new glitch happen to me.

 

At this exact moment.

 

I got into online and my HUD was missing, I held R1 to access the weapon wheel, my screen darkened but the wheel didn't show up at all. I kept moving the buttons changing weapons but I couldn't see what I was choosing. The whole weapon wheel was invisible. My minimap was visible but no matter how many times I pressed down it wouldn't enlarge or show the player list on the top left corner. This hasn't happened to me before.

 

Also, an hour ago, the Mechanic contact disappeared off my contact list and I had to wait for about 15 minutes before it re-appeared back.

 

Lester Ability: Blind Eye is still unavailable for both my characters which are ranked above 100 legit. I never had it.

 

Anyone else encounter this?

I have only encountered the freezing problem once since the update. Yes it is annoying but the game is still very playable and enjoyable in my opinion.

I froze in single player earlier, never happened to me before.

 

I freeze in public sessions a lot, rarely in Invite onlys.

It tends to freeze in SP to now when armoured trucks spawn. 2 times when i saw one pulling out a street, the game froze.

Totally the opposite here. Runs amazing and have yet to have a single freeze, crash, or problem, when as before update I froze at least twice a session.

Haven't frozen in a long time, but I have been getting lagged out of sessions more often than before.

I had a few "hangups" in game lobbys (roof top rumble) the first day after the update-- but fine since then (PS3 superslim disk).

I cant join public lobbies at all anymore. It just times out. If i try to join a random job it will take ages to load then I will just end up in a lobby alone. About 90% of the time I am playing I also have the "Save failed. Cannot connect to Rockstar servers" message flashing up on the side of my screen. It only saves about once every ten minutes (im sure someone that was more cleverer than me would be able to use this to work out a glitch).

 

I was hoping this update would finally let me join public lobbies without freezing every few minutes too.

oh yeah thats another thing that happens more frequently now when the lobby votes on a new mission it kicked us back to freemode and one player back to single player. not all the time but a couple of times last night.

I agree with the freezing being an issue. Last night I couldn't even make it to the top of the stairs from my bedroom before it froze on me.

sh*t, if i turned on my console right now..it would shut off by itself within 30 minutes. thats how hot it is in cali right now. and its about to be 7pm.

 

i cant play til midnight. lol

 

 

(i havent froze in a while. the secret - closed friend session. or maybe im just gettin a little lucky)
