Why don't many people play in free aim servers - they are amazing

Free aim servers are amazing - you can drive around with cars that don't have bullet proof backs without the fear of some 12 year old shooting you for no reason - there are no kids on it - all mature players who play the game the way it should. It takes skill.

You can ride around in the city with a motor bike.

Only down side is - there are not many people that play it - and its almost impossible to find death matches on free aim (which are amazing on the rare occasions I find one) - Any way. All I want to say is - everyone should play in free aim to make gta more fun

Okay, sounds like a challenge. At least I wont be auto targetting the police when trying to lock on a player with his eyeball in the tele.

In single player:

Pause game and go to options change aim preference to free aim. Go online.

I would play free aim and used to, but all my friends play auto-aim, and it is very convenient for locking onto cops and enemies in missions.

Deathmatches in GTA Online are god awful anyway and surely free aim would increase the campfest even more...

The fact is, nobody is comfortable playing in free aim mode. Though people have claim to and agree that it's better and takes more skills, you'll all end up going back to auto aim servers.

Free aim is pretty awesome actually, even though I mostly play in trad GTA mode.. Really hightens the tension, plus the gunfights get more realistic/randomized. I should try and play it more often! Only downside is the cops become so f*cking difficult, but I guess that's also part of the charm.

Free aim is pretty sh*tty IMO. If it were more like max payne then yeah I would but it just doesent work well online whenever I'm on it's just minigun users wreaking havoc. I like auto aim better.

I play free aim but never thought of it as a "special" play.....nice to jump back and forth between assisted and free-aim, especially when helping lower level players

I play free mode when I want to ride around in the city - its so convenient. Yes auto aim is obvious when doing missions, I never go missions like Rooftop Rumble in free mode. But if your sick of being killed when just trying to drive around then I suggest free mode. Will make the game much more fun

Yes - I played all day today and only a couple of people tried to kill me - of course you will get the random idiots that attack now and then but its much harder for them to kill you and it takes skill

I used free aim exclusively today because wanted to try out the mental state (and see the other players). It was great. I didn't notice people killing each other like other sessions, but I'm sure that will change...

The free aim servers are awesome for d¡©king about in freeroam and PvP activities. However, when it comes to co-op missions, it's giving yourself an unnecessary disadvantage against the super hawkeye aimbot AI. IMO.

I dont play in free aim servers because........... no one plays in free aim servers.

 

I dont tend to spend much time at all in free roam as as soon as I spawn in my apartment I jump to a race through the quick job method. When I am on free aim I dont think I have ever joined a race lobby with more than 1 other person already in it. However with AA on if I jump to a race lobby 90% of the time there is always atleast three other people already there. That's the reson why I dont play with free aim on.

I don't have any problems with "empty" servers. If I'm in a dead or dying server I just find a new one. Usually it takes 1 or 2 times to find a fullish lobby, just like back when I played in lock on rooms.

I've never had a problem with empty servers. They are usually crowded. I agree with MrCamo, I just find a new one or if I can't connect with crews or friends, ask them to send an invite to their session.

i dont get it how do u find full lobbies in free aim .. whenever i change back to free aim and join a lobby its empty, races r dead so r tdm >.<

its actually pretty sad since like some1 already said it would make the game much more realistic and it would require more skill ( like driving a car and dont have to worry with some1 that can easily kill u with AA .. (

I just started playing in free aim lobbies today, and I love it.

The only thing I hate about it are the aimbots during missions.

I used to play free aim all the time. I used free aim in story mode and was really good at it, but lately my friends and crew members have all been playing in auto-aim/trad GTA. I went into free aim after reading this thread and found out I've gotten bad at controlling the free aim.

People are more sensible in there though. I'm getting really sick of children in this game. I'd like to meet their parents. This is not a f*cking kid's game by any stretch.

Im in FA 99.9% of the time. Missions and suvivals are ok I guess sometimes for AA but Free roam needs to be FA or it's just too boring. For those who always say it's too herky jerky or whatever, just lower your aim sensitivity. I can aim just fine.That and I dont care for the game to play itself for me honestly. What's the point in having a gun battle if there's no aiming? Alright I've said enough...I don't wanna get into a war honestly

yea I find that helped a lot. I just did that and it's much easier to control now. I don't remember turning it up, but I guess I did.

Thx OP. I didnt knew there was a free aim lobby, gonna try it tomorrow. It sounds perfect because i am not the kind of guy that kills everyone, and if they wont kill me either its a win win situation. I finally can drive around without worrying that my car is gonna be blown up.

It's much harder to shoot someone when they're driving by at high speed, thus making free roam a much better driving experience. I hate being shot dead while driving 200mph down the street. Nobody can pull that off in free aim without a heavy stroke of luck or the right angle on approach. I've tried (for science) and I managed to do it all of 1 time out of 20 or so attempts.

This alone is a good reason to play free aim.

However the mission NPCs are all aimbot psycho and it's much harder to get a suprise shot on someone from around a wall or from cover,because you don't lock on at all.

The second i started playing on SP i noticed it locked on

"oh, i dont like this" i said, so i went onto pause menu and thanked the heavens there was free aim, now i can enjoy an open world max payne 3.

online is no different, if I lock onto people it F***s me up and i have to go back to free aim, cant play the game any other way

Gta v is the first gta that i play with free aim. It feels realistic and it makes things more challenging. Even in online is it fun.
