  2. 2. Catchup?

  3. 3. Slipstream?

You asshats turn catch up off? No wonder I enjoy racing only with my friends in private sessions.

Catch off is the stupidest and pathetic thing ever created and only people with no skill use it ;)

If you can't cut the mustard you need catch up ;)

This is a survey to find out what people on GTAF prefer for race settings.

I personally like non-contact, no slip, no catchup.

Non-contact races r boring...I have won all of them so far. Too easy.

Guys who try to ram me or spin me out just makes it more challenging and fun...I am always watching out if they try to ram me...and then I try to avoid it, let them pass, counter and make a fool of them or let them ram me but make sure I don't spin out or crash. I have 4 accounts I play with and all of them have more wins than loses...and most of these races had rammers. U just gotta play smart...

Catch up on...because its too boring to stay first...no challenge...and if u r second but a a bit behind u won't be able to catch up unless 1st place crashes so u might as well quit and start another race than waste Ur time for 2nd place rp and cash.

Slipstream on...brings more challenge....I always look behind to see if they r gaining speed and block them when they try to pass me.

Standard with catch up and slipstream on is more fun, challenging and requires more skill to win.

Non contact...boring and for people who think they got skills because they can stay first with no challenge from anyone.

non-contact is somehow a trade off, roads in GTA is too small for racing, if u compair normal racing game, those road are f*cking wide. so if u want racing works in GTA, u gonna need this.

Slipstreaming is some real physics i suppose?

I prefer no slipstream because it's effect is overdone however out of all the dodgy options it's the one I can tolerate :). Sometimes it helps even out the differences with the cars on some tracks.

Ever since non-contact was added, racing has become much more enjoyable. No more worrying about dirty racers intentionally PITing you :)

Contact is part or racing, maybe not as extreme as it's been but u can always slam on the breaks and let am idiot fly across the road to crash themselves into a wall. My problem has always been with catchup, it absolutely grabs your car by the balls when out front. How it should work is if u crash or are wrecked u have to work your ass off cutting times in the corners to catch back up. That's how I've won most of my races

Non-contact means it is no longer a race, the other people may as well not even be there.

A contact race with competent people who don't try to crash people is the best.

Lol it's even funnier when catchup is off and you know how to ram.

Everyone goes like 40 seconds behind since there's no way someone can catch up after you crash into them.

Standard so it's more like a race.

Catch up on so it's a closer, more exciting race, with those who may have been unfortunate in crashing given the opportunity to.... erm, catch up.

Slip stream on for it's epic ness.

Never done an impromptu race but want to. How does it work?

Catch up as default needs to be removed.

But it swings both ways. Catch up barely matters in races with alot of turns.. Infact it kind of helps the guy infront mantain an nice cruising speed. But in long straight dumb races like Down the Drain, Long Haul,, Criminal Records.. Commute,, Routes 68. They just act as a way for bad or aggressive drivers to get back into ramming players.

I need a rally win just for the paints.

I still think most people don't know about impromptu. I've pulled up beside many people wheelspinning, looking to race be but never activating an impromptu race.

If you are ps3 I'm down for a rally as I haven't got to do one either. I try to join them but no one else does. We just need 2 more ppl.

Should be a meet up in about 3-4 hours hopefully.

I am liking the new non contact races, although it does take a bit go getting used to. It's really weird driving through a car. I still tend to race as normal and overtake cleanly where there is an opportunity though. Old habits die hard.

My only gripe is I have never managed to join one. Standard, gta the odd rally but never non contact. I've only managed to host with friends - never managed to get random to join! I was getting to think nobody liked them.

Exactly, I have yet to join one and only hosted a couple to test it out. I would say a large majority of non forum or website users dont even know it exists. Its always the same old crutches on BS. Edited by LuapYllier
