They could've done the exploit of dumping all their $$ onto their second character, which is another thing R* needs to fix. Either limit the amount that can be shared between characters, or have someone's balance go into the red if they destroy a vehicle they can't fully pay for... and maybe randomly send hitmen/mercs after them until they get back into the black (like in the old days of SA when you'd lose too much at the tables in LV). No one should EVER have to pay to replace a car that was destroyed by someone else, under any circumstances...

well, that fixes that problem but the problem where players put all their money on their second character so they can go around blowing up vehicles and don't have to worry about losing any money still exists.come on R*

I still get a notice informing me that my vehicle was destroyed, protect it next time with insurance, etc.

 

Like, every time I join a session in free roam or am leaving a particular game mode. Annoying as hell.
