missions that have turned frustratingly hard since update

im def not a cash card conspiracy type... I've never made a posit about them...

but i feel like this is solid proof that rockstar really don't want us making any money...

the only mission I've played since the update was chemical extraction... and it was so tough... we used to beat it with 2 players... then kept failing with a full 6 players... til we finally resorted to a tank and a buzzard to complete it

 

i haven't tried , but i think trash talk with a buzzard might be the new farming mission...

HAHA I just did chemical extraction with all randoms and one was a lv 15 and we beat it.

Only good thing is you actually have to be several people and work together to finish the missions now. Before it was little silly going solo like Rambo all the time and never get hit. Now your either on red or just bom-bom-wasted. Frustrating but challenging!

 

Stock and Scares always had the most stupid enemyspawning. They spawned right in front of you. Shoot one and another pops up in the same spot out of nowhere. Now they spawn so much you dont have time too see where they all come from, LOL!

Base invaders too. Just try to pass by the NPC's guarding the cargobob, you'll be shot down instantly.

Dry Docking is impossible to beat alone/clutching because of the spawns. You cannot crack open the safe because a Merryweather dude keeps spawning at the staircase infinitely. If you're lucky, he won't move for like a minute after spawning so instead you need to crack the safe as fast as possible, and if you don't have full health and armor, he can finish you off as you'll be at low health by the time you're done, it's extremely broken and stupid.

Base invaders too. Just try to pass by the NPC's guarding the cargobob, you'll be shot down instantly.

 

 

Did base Invaders yesterday, everything seemed the same, I drove up to the Cargobob in my Turismo and never took a hit.

 

The Bob still takes some hits but thats it

The Crystal Clear Out trio all had the irregular spawn dudes. It happens when there is more than one player.

However, Los Santos Connection now has the irregular spawn dudes in front of the Pegasus hangar in the third part of the mission. This never happened until after the update.

Has anyone noticed that some of these changes were happening for some and not for others before the update was released? I'm under the impression that they are making gradual changes and then announcing them in the next update.

Might be because I'm an older gamer...but aren't you SUPPOSED to be challenged by a video game? I mean...what's the point of playing a game that isn't challenging? I can't for the life of me understand how so many people can bitch about the difficulty being upped. Mind you, these are all the same people who were saying "There's nothing to do in GTAO" and "The missions are all boring". Now R* made the missions interesting by increasing the difficulty, and LOW AND BEHOLD these same people are bitching about it being to hard.

 

If you fall into that category...it's time you retired from GTAO and find something else more your speed to play. Period.

I like a well organized system with a good challenge.....but NPC spawning behind you with a combat shotgun...challenge? no, poor game design...

 

Agree. Respawning enemies that magically appear 10 feet behind you were you just walked 5 seconds ago is not "a challenge", it's just frustrating stupidity.

I don't know. I did it just the once since the new patch and the van crashed before it got to my car blocking the bridge, so I just walked up to the AI in the car and killed him and drove away.

once the difficulty was incrased, i've started doing race, deathmatch, lts, parachute

that happened last night while some crew mate and i were playing RR, one guy was driving to martin's house and all of a sudden "failed out of lives" popped up

Well chances are I'm an older gamer than you are, and I'm also supposed to be having fun, not have every f*cking mission be an exercise in frustration.

 

Piss off with your "I need a challenge" bullsh*t. Games started getting stupid the second game designers started listening to this halfwit nonsense from the losers that equate playing a videogame with "achieving something" and started injecting things like super mid level bosses and magically respawning enemies with 100% accuracy into every game. Go torture yourself with Battletoads or something demented like that.

stocks and scares is the one that pops into my head at the moment. a couple crew mates and i tried playing that on hard last night and couldn't beat it even though we played it 4-5 times lol.the fifth time we played it they left in the middle and i almost beat it but i couldn't get out the damn door to go to my car because guys kept spawning non stop. any other missions that they up'ed the difficulty so it's so hard it's kinda frustrating?

 

Yeah. With less than 4 people, that mission is now damn near impossible. Even with coordinated team + 2 Buzzards, it is still extremely hard. Enemy spawns are now infinite. Best we've been able to do in it (post 1.13) is fail with 40-120 kills each. Worst thing is the enemies respawning right behind you, at the end of the dock, which is just bullsh*t. Infinite spawns, while might make sense for the military base (e.g. Base Invaders), make zero sense for a private organization such as Merryweather.

 

 

As I've stated before, I absolutely loathe what they did to Dry Docking and S&S, which were 2 of my favourite missions. Consistantly respawning enemies that show up behind you, in front of you, etc. etc. is the worse possible way to amp up the difficulty. You want to make them harder? By all means, but do it right. Make the AI smarter, user better tactics, pick better spawn points and spawn events. DON'T just keep flooding us with endless enemies. There is a big difference between giving us a challenge, and frustrating the f*ck out of us.

 

And, if you're gonna amp up the difficulty, boost the payout.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

 

If Rockstar wanted to be half as lazy about making those missions harder, they could've included more waves of enemies in vehicles converging on that location. And/or, added enemies in boats converging from a different direction. AND/or, added a helicopter or two, or enemies with armor, for all I care. But adding enemies conveniently infi-spawning in corners and/or end of the dock (how the f**k did they get there, exactly??) is beyond lazy, and isn't at all characteristic of a developer who was meticulous enough to include the, might I add awesome, engine cooling crackle noise to cars.

Only amateur players complain its frustrating,its hard :bbq: The nerfed missions are still rather easy if proper tactics are applied,the better players don't complain one bit,so its pretty obvious the problem lies with player skills not increased difficulty

I actually think it makes things more interesting. But still I think the stupidest part is them not bumping payouts for Simeon and the other cheap bastards. I don't want more crap paying missions. Bump the pay to at least 3k on every contact mission please. It really should be even more. I never touch a mission that doesn't pay at least 5 k

I did stocks and scares with two friends for the first time and it wasn't that hard.It took 3 attempts but it wasn't exactly impossible.Attempt1:Ran in killed a few guys,me and a friend were killed by an exploding gas tank,the other guy was overwhelmed a minute later and was killed.Attempt2:Did all the stuff grabbed the case and got into a MW mesa but we were gunned down in seconds by the team of mercs in patriots.Attempt3:Did the same as before but took my zentorno and got away before the patriots could kill us.So yeah,difficult but far from impossible.And that was the first time we'd ever played that mission.

I did coveted on hard today, single handedly, in effectively 3 minutes flat- I actually timed my run. It was actually 3:01 but I lost time walking while I pressed start on the stopwatch on my phone before getting my hand on the controller/run. I did use 4 or 5 rockets which is $2000-$2500 of off the 18k pay but hey...

Timed from being able to move, to container auto-released from Cargobob.

 

Best value I think. Someone invited me to a Coveted 16x playlist today and he quit on round 7 when I died twice. Thanks whoever you were that was a good time.

Stocks and Scares is hard but not impossible, I actually got the briefcase before I noticed anything was different.

Getting out is the hard part.

 

Dry Docking I also solo'ed, by blanketing the front entrance to the safe room with tear gas. Again, getting out was the tough part.

 

 

Did anyone think they might be trying to see success rates with different difficulties and challenges to fine tune heist difficulty?

I know the last thing they would need on heists is for people to leave the game after all the hype.

 

Due to the delays, Rockstar has a LOT riding on the heists working properly.

Dude.. i sat outside in my Bullet and killed over 40 NPCs while a friend was inside cracking the safe.

 

Its bonkers.. They are magically teleporting in out of thin air.

And if you think R* isn't gonna bungle Heists in some form or fashion (them being late, them being stupided up somehow), you haven't been paying attention. If they hadn't promised them to us 300 years ago when this game came out, they'd be forgetting about them with a quickness. They're gonna bring out 4 half-hearted heists that pay crap, fulfill their eight-month-old promise to us and abandon any free DLC except new clothes and cars occasionally until they bring out some good old fashioned paid DLC. Which is fine.

 

Oh, and poster above: Coveted hasn't changed. At least as far as I could tell.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one frustrated by these new horrendous missions.
I'm flat broke and I can't grind because the missions are now absolute crap, they could've at least made them pay more.

I just hate the magic constantly spawning out of thin air respawns. It's so damn cheap. Stocks and Scares is just dumb now. Infinite respawns is such a cheesy way to add difficulty.
