Anyone else get "failed- out of lives" even though there's still people alive doing the mission? Ridiculous that I've had to start over because teammates die.

Good! It's about time they upped the diffculty, especially on Auto-Aim...I just still don't get how anyone can have a hard time on ANY mission with auto aim. Free aim is where the real difficulty is at.

Trash Talk has been bugging a lot for me, says I killed the crew boss.

I only just started playing that yesterday but...isn't killing the crew boss the final objective? What I'm finding annoying is being spawned at madrazos house without my car. And having my car spawn on the dirt road when I call it...but thats not trash talk specific or even particularly on topic.

As I've stated before, I absolutely loathe what they did to Dry Docking and S&S, which were 2 of my favourite missions. Consistantly respawning enemies that show up behind you, in front of you, etc. etc. is the worse possible way to amp up the difficulty. You want to make them harder? By all means, but do it right. Make the AI smarter, user better tactics, pick better spawn points and spawn events. DON'T just keep flooding us with endless enemies. There is a big difference between giving us a challenge, and frustrating the f*ck out of us.

 

And, if you're gonna amp up the difficulty, boost the payout.

I really wish that I could like this post twice LOL! It's not just the endless flood of enemies who are obviously ex-Navy SEALS judging from their accuracy, it's the fact that they constantly spawn in all directions that's really frustrating. Being in a firefight and having an enemy spawn right behind you isn't challenging, it's frustrating as f'ck!

 

It's really easy to explain this....the key is to find a spot that they can't spawn enemies behind you. I played it and I love the increased diffculty. I think there are just too many child gamers that can't take the heat. lol More difficult missions=I will play this game much more. I love a challenge. I love a mission that I might fail 2 times before getting it. It's the only reasont to play any game in my mind. If it's easy, I hate it and usually quit playing.

stocks and scares has gotten me harder but these enemy respawns are insane! I cracked open the safe and got gunned down by merrweather soldiers f*ck life

WTF are you serious?!?!?! So now we have to deal with lazers too while we fly that big bus of a helicopter back to Trevor's airfield? I haven't tried this mission since the patch, but now I'm going to have to give it a go LOL.

 

EDIT: I just tried it solo on Hard difficulty, and didn't fail the mission when I blew up the 3 lazers. Maybe the mission just glitched for you when you tried it.

I like the new difficulty. I do think they should make missions like dry docking 2 player minimum though. Died 10x doing it solo. Spawning enemies wouldn't let me crack the safe solo. Got so close a couple of times. 'Sigh'

A little trick I found for Stocks, and Scares. If you park your PV where the hood blocks the entrance to the building, the Merryweather Mercs that spawn outside behind can't get in to ambush you. You can slide over the hood to get inside, and take out all the guys there. Get the Documents, then work your way out. Keep the car parked, and call a Merryweather heli pickup, and away you go. Not too bad actually.

But I figured out the new sequence to play the mission so all is good.

What has turned frustratingly annoying is not spawning within the vicinity of the area when you start a mission from the Jobs Menu.

ie. I finished Crystal Clear Out III (from Jobs Menu) and when to play Mixed Up With Coke (from Jobs Menu) mission starts where I finish Crystal Clear Out III.

They've def rammed up the difficulty. Tried playing The Parking Garage yesterday on Hard with some randoms, and got killed twice by highly accurate shots. Before the patch, I could solo the mission on the same setting with no life lost.

tell me, how did you solo this mission when it requires AT LEAST two ppl to start?

Correct, but the game doesn't need more difficulty. S&S was fine as it was before. Amping it up (extremely poorly) and leaving the pay the same is atrocious.

in a earlier post you questioned how anyone could fail a mission using auto-aim,well it can be as much a curse as a blessing so i'll give you that,but i know i grow tired of you and others coming on here and posting bragging that you use free aim,congrats man your penis is bigger than mine,you are a bigger bad ass,here is your pat on the back,thataboy whatever,we get it,you are better than us that use auto-aim.this forum wouldn't be as difficult if people played their way and could except others play it another way,some free-aim,some don't,some camp some don't some grind rooftop and some don't etc,etc.

Yeah, I did it again and everything went smoothly. It's like mystery meat with missions since the update.

Beating Stocks and Scares since update: Use your PV HAS TO BE PV OR THEY WILL DESPAWN use your PV to block the back door... the small door... then hijack one of their mesas and go though the main door.... the blocked door will keep out 60% of the respawning bad guys making your escape 60% easier.... THERE ARE STILL A sh*t TON OF f*ckING PEOPLE SPAWNING but... this helps... TRUST ME. This used to be my RR... high pay out... fun mission... ect... but now.. sh*t.. its a pain... my buddy and I did this sh*t like 20 times before beating it lol.

Stocks and Scares it's insane ! Merryweather spawns non stop, it's difficult. Also I've found a lot of glitched missions after 1.13, for example LS Connection, the laptop you have to hack is glitched, also the trailer on some missions won't show up correctly.

And much more bugs and glitches I've encountered.

 

The last time I played it, the laptop can't be hacked a.k.a not accessible.

 

And then Rockstar wonder why everyone play RR.

that mission was pretty difficult before. i can't even imagine how it is now lol

 

they patch this mission in 1.12 with a heli spawn IF you didnt clear the guys after you hack the safe

this is one of the mission I like most

I know that, I meant I could do the mission with no problem WITHOUT anyone's help. Last time I played it before the patch, some random idled and I completed it no prob on my own. Just drove up to the top, killed all the guys, took the package and went to the end marker.

 

After patch? Me and two randoms, both over lv 100, taking cover behind the wall. We all got gunned down.

 

EDIT: Also, I tried to solo S&S yesterday on Hard, something I could do before no problem pre-patch, but not now. NPCs spawn too quickly - they come pouring in from the door as others have noted above, and they also spawn across the deck, as well near the stairs. I managed to fight my way up to the second floor to hack the door, only to get gunned down by a squad that spawned out of nowhere.

R* is trying to cut down on solo play, and force us into cooperative play.

 

Which unless your playing with friends or crew, is impossible!

I knew this was going to happen after the patch. Missions become harder so they're more fun. Then because people are forced to do the mission with friends, everyone loses its sh*t. It's a game; aren't they supposed to be challenging?

I've been playing a lot of missions the last couple of days, and it's been great fun! I love the new difficulty, jobs are actually getting to be a real challenge and fun to play again. I've been doing them with a capable friend though, and I think doing them all on solo would be frustrating. But that is the point of Online though, isn't it? Have fun with your friends, otherwise you could just stay in single player..

 

As an added bonus; since my second character hadn't done any of the missions yet, I got double payout for every new mission I did. :D

I can personally attest that this works. We tried it last night with randoms and sure enough, no need to cover that door when the safe is being cracked. Doing this funneled all the bad guys to the water side of the building where they were easier to deal with. Thanks for the tip!

Might be because I'm an older gamer...but aren't you SUPPOSED to be challenged by a video game? I mean...what's the point of playing a game that isn't challenging? I can't for the life of me understand how so many people can bitch about the difficulty being upped. Mind you, these are all the same people who were saying "There's nothing to do in GTAO" and "The missions are all boring". Now R* made the missions interesting by increasing the difficulty, and LOW AND BEHOLD these same people are bitching about it being to hard.

 

If you fall into that category...it's time you retired from GTAO and find something else more your speed to play. Period.
