Visible body armour bug

usually you could go to the inventory and make your body armour visible or invisible, but after the latest patch if you make your body armour visible in the inventory.

 

there is no way to make it invisible again from the inventory menu. So my character id stuck wearing visible body armour and i ve tried everything to make it invisible again but nothing works and its really p issing me off

I'm not so sure it's a bug but rather an oversight when revamping the inventory menu choices. But it's true

seriously i been playing gta v online for months and u could easliy hide the body armour, but bow theres no way of making it not visisble again. if any of you guys dont beleive me try it for your selfs

Well, my current problem might just be the solution you need, OP - my character wears (or rather, wore) armour as part of their outfit, but it disappeared when trying on one of the new suits (under 'outfits', which you get from the clothes store counter), and no amount of toggling options, buying or equipping various armours will bring it back.


Between this, and certain vehicle variants going from 'randomised' to 'non-existent', I'm actually going to get on to R* support to propose that the new armour menu included the old 'visible armour toggle' system, separate from the 'auto-equip' function and the new 'armour-as-consumable' function. Something like 'choose armour style', that allows you to wear the visible vest model of your choice, based on what you've unlocked by ranking up - regardless of what armour you've got stockpiled in your inventory.

I had this same problem, could not get the body armor off after 1.13 update. To make maters more complicated, I have a female online character and no fitted suits at ponsonbys to put on to override my glitch. So I started trying on everything I could find and the vest option finally removed my body armor. Prior to finding this thread, I had tried everything from getting into the shower to logging completely out, but nothing works to remove the armor except this. So if you have a female with the permanent body armor glitch, go to ponsonbys and get a fitted vest. It sucks you have to waste hard earned cash to fix their glitch, but it was driving me crazy!
