Rockstar works with major glitchers (game ruiners)

Firstly I would just like to mention this thread is straight facts and none of this is my opinion. This is not a witch hunt or a direct attack. So please besure to read the whole thing before you tell me "you are just getting these scrubs views".

 

I am simply here to speak out for the us. Us being the guys who are being shownup for the acts of those who are "great youtubers". People who exploit our game and bring a bad name to our community through many different acts, some of which shall be stated in this thread. While others are so blatent. Unfortunately the average viewer is not able to apprehend what the user is doing. Me and my fellow friends from tis and various other Forums have been monitoring these very acts and I speak for everyone when I say enough is enough!

 

Rockstars latest newswire states information about the high life event weekend. If you continue reading you will notice the following text "expect a weekend full of featured High Life guest streams from friends of Rockstar"

 

One name which I believe made its debut on Rockstars newswire was "MrBossFTW". Yes it was. I sh*t you not. This youtube user had uploaded an invisibility glitch only a few days before. Knowing that the user has uploaded this gamebreaking exploit after several reports to Rockstar Games, they still go ahead and invite this guy to represent us in a livestream?

To justify this he tried to explain that it was a bug and not a game ruining exploit. People in his comments section many GTA Online players including myself and friends have since been killed by this very "bug" which gives people invisibilty online. This is a gamebreaking glitch and for this user to be uploading such content after adressing these exploits on several occasions is bizzare to me. He talked out against these very acts to be excecuted during videos, livestreams and podcasts. Well than the question arises to MRBOSSFTW why not upload a money glitch and say "the money goes when you spend it." In fairness I can imagine him doing this also.

Mrboss has previously shown people how to duplicate NOS cars which were then abused and black listed from GTA Online. He has also on many occasions stolen information from our forums, the GTA Forums and uploaded videos claiming that they were his personal thoughts. Once again this needs to stop.

 

My last point is how does MrBossFTW manage to steal our information and speculations and manage to get views from this? Its simple, he tricks the Google algorithm by spamming tags on Google+ and many other platforms, by opening up discussions on other forums and creating articles while linking this content, which once again is and can all be found on the GTA Forums. This excessive meta data is against the Youtubes terms of service and for too long this user has weaseled away from the limelight after attaining what he wanted which was views, money and subscribers. The user has once again gone too far. Putting "GTA" in his description over 17 times in this example: http://gyazo.com/8b6406e182db5a38ef64029699c1baaa In the attempt to blend in this monstorous amount of meta data and in other cases he has taken this to the extreme with the word "GTA" over 45 times and more in his description.

We have the power to stop this and I hope you guys are with me on this one, his little reign of terror ends here. Profiting from the thoughts of others and tricking the Google search shall not be tolerated anymore.

Who the f*ck is mrbossftw...and who gives a sh*t if he uses exploits against rockstar? Sure some glitches are game breaking...sure he could provide a private link...but as you yourself stated...they support him and many like him...go glitch some in game money to get even...don't play in random lobbies...complaining here AFTER they got your money accomplishes what exactly? If they don't give a sh*t on their site this site is gonna give - 2 sh*ts.

He's hardly damaging the game and only rarely post these kind of glitches, and he took down the nos duplication video after his viewers asked him too, and after checking out his recent videos, the video you're talking about isn't there either.

 

Far from my favorite youtuber, but he definitely doesn't deserve a crusade against him for using seo and writing gta to many times in his description, it's a very common and effective marketing tactic actually.

Every time I watch a Vanoss video, I get the itch to play GTA:O. Even if I just got done and turned it off because it was pissing me off, I'll see the fun he's having and I'll get right back on to try something new.

 

Vanoss should be supported by Rockstar, not these douche bags who put up exploit tutorials to rake in easy views by preying on the dishonest among us. Vanoss actually shows the game for what it is and SHOULD be - an incredible multiplayer experience in a complex game world with awesome game play mechanics. He doesn't show how to cheat, just how to have fun playing the game.

I agree with this, and most of what the OP said. R* should be streaming with people who bring out the best in their product. But alas it is their product. But at the end of the day they only pick the so called "popular" youtubers for more exposure on this title.

I understand that somebody posting step by step instructions to a repeatable glitch/exploit can be very helpful to a development team responsible for issuing hot fixes and patches.

 

People asking for glitch videos to be taken down or not posted are the ones who, likely, don't want those glitches fixed, so that they may take advantage of them instead.

"Beta" in the sense that it's butting up against current gen. console limitations. That's why I freeze every hour. Once it hits next gen, the development and expansion can begin. So, while it may not be a "beta" release to PS3 and XBox 360, it ain't the next gen golden master -- if that makes sense. As for my sources, I have none other that rumor and my own intuition.

I've been a R* fan (pretty much a fanboy) for pretty much all my life. Played the first GTA as a kid at a friend's house and loved GTA ever since. I know The Benz or the Houser brothers aren't the ones organizing these events, it's probably a representatives team or the social department but even they should know who they're inviting to their own event. They don't go on Youtube and invite the most popular GTA players, that's for sure. If they did, Roosterteeth would be on there. They've done "heists" that have a million views each and considering how much people talk about heists, R* could easily find RT's videos. Of course, Roosterteeth are a company and not some random dudes playing games all day (well...technically they do but they have a schedule that isn't the same as most GTA Youtubers) but I'm sure R* could send RT a message and asking if they could take part in this event and when would be the best time for them. Hell, any other Youtuber I'd be happy to see. Pewdiepie? Why not. I honestly have no clue who all these guys R* invite to their streams are. They're just another guy. They can be replaced by someone else.

It really sucks what R* are doing. The casual GTA fan and those that aren't part of this forum probably won't know much of what is really happening and they'll have a blast to see these guys hang out with a R* team play GTA but for us, those who know what's going on, it sucks. We can't do much, to be honest. R* have a firm grip on what they do and what comments are actually read or ignored. I'm sure if EVERYONE on this entire forum (all 591,000-some) comments on R*'s website, Facebook & Twitter: "don't play with this guy, he cheats!", they might sit up from their chair, a small look of concern on their face and probably mark it as spam. But as said; it sucks. R* have said in interviews, most notably The Benz, that R* had this vision of a MMO-ish game where it would be a living online world. They're just ruining the game by what they're doing. Not just inviting assholes to these events to represent us but all the sh*tty DLC and false promises we've been getting. It's been months that we should of had heists. Instead of some sh*tty supercars, the new DLC should of been 4 new heists missions to keep the heist catalogue fresh. Instead of a generic sh*tty rifle, we would of gotten a laser we plant on a wall so when an enemy walks into it, it blows up. Stuff like that.

I love GTA and I protected it when people said the map sucked or the characters weren't as good as the other GTA protags but now I'm slowly coming to terms that GTA V isn't that great. It's an AMAZING game and I wouldn't change all the times I had on it for money, honestly, but..it sucks. That's all I got to say. But that's my opinion and I know GTA:O will grow and be bigger and better as time goes from having a new console to play on and R* knowing what they're doing. GTA isn't in beta but R* are still new to such a massive multiplayer experience.

To be fair, though, I don't watch these livestreams because I don't care about the people they invite. As said, if they invite REAL gamers that enjoy the game and not the ones that are constantly trying to find a glitch (I'd rather watch a guy react to situations in the game instead of a know-it-all asshole that figured out how to walk through a wall), then I'd watch it.

Sorry for the long post. Just felt I had to share to anyone who bothers reading. I haven't played GTA V in close to two months now and I feel so detached from GTA now but I still watch Roosterteeth (my fave) play the game. I'm just waiting for the game to be worthy again like it was when GTA:O first came out. After day-long sessions for months, the game isn't that exciting. It's a chore playing it and with summer coming around, I don't have much reasons to stay locked up inside like I used to when I was playing GTA IV. GTA IV had friends and a good console and I stayed inside. Now all my friends have a new console and I'm the only one on the 360 (find a meetup, sure, but real friends are much better than a forum meetup) so it sucks playing GTA:O with randoms, doing the same thing day after day. If R* aren't gonna change something in their way of doing things, I'll be away that much longer.

That doesn't have anything to do with this topic but I felt I had to add that, too.

The afternoon the High Life update came out, I wasn't going to be able play it until later and wanted to see a "Video Roundup" of the update.

 

I searched for GTA 1.13 or GTA High Life and I had to look through about 3 pages of "$$$$ GLITCHES!!! WORKING ON 1.13" and "5 BILLION RP WITH HIGH LIFE DLC!!!!" and variants of those before I found a video from some "British" kid that showed some of the stuff (he bought a second property, bought all the new cars, upgraded them all). He did a decent job for content that had just been released 12 hours earlier.

 

99% of the GTA videos done by most YouTuber's (with the exception of RoosterTeeth and other quality content creators) is the same regurgitated lame crap.

 

A tweet or post on the newswire is VERY valuable to anyone who depends on traffic.. last I checked, their twitter account had 2.6+ million followers. Maybe someone at R* is benefitting from the increased traffic those "people" get.
