Any other PS3 users getting this message

 

"Files required to play GTA Online could not be downloaded from the Rockstar Games Service. Please return to Grand Theft Auto V and try again later."

 

after update 1.13? I've just opened a ticket w/R* support as I have not been able to play online since the update. I figured I'd wait a day, then try again but it's not been 2 days and I'm still getting the same message. I've deleted and redownloaded the patch, but still no luck. Anywho, I'll update as soon as I hear back from R*.

never heard back from r*, but i believe the issue is fixed and was due to my PS3's clock somehow being set to the year 2019. the day/time was correct, just the year was off. i set the year to 2014 and blammo, online in no time. i made sure to retry my previous steps this morning when i was unable to connect, with no luck. double checking all of my usual settings is when i noticed the year was off. hope this helps someone!

No it had nothing to do with your system time. I keep getting this periodically and I just have to restart the game and then I can sign in. It is annoying that this keeps happening, especially when the already long load time it can sometimes take 15+ minutes to get logged in which I think most people would consider unreasonable.

Only time I've start seeing these things were from doing the SP>MP car glitch, it would mention this on an error screen, but then go away after a few seconds allowing me to proceed to online

Really weird imo

I've been getting this error for days on PS3. And it was right after the update. I deleted the install files, the saves and the update multiple tmes. I even started a new game to see if that would work. It's really getting on my nerves. And my clock is right

Just started happening right now. Ive been playing fine ever since Hipster update and all of a sudden this. Whats going on?

It looks like anyone who was not online before the servers went down is getting this update relating to files.

 

While the rest of us who were online are only getting the standard "cannot load character" error message.

 

Would be good if you guys with the corresponding errors could identify when you tried to log on roughly to the game, If its within the last 3 or 4 hours then I would imagine its basically the same type of error both the Online & Offline players just under different circumstances & therefore nothing to worry about :)

Would be good if you guys with the corresponding errors could identify when you tried to log on roughly to the game, If its within the last 3 or 4 hours then I would imagine its basically the same type of error both the Online & Offline players just under different circumstances & therefore nothing to worry about :)

When did R* tell us the servers would be down??

I've been playing fine since yesterday and I just got this message about 15 minutes ago. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? By the way I was on this entire day my game froze so I went to turn the ps3 off and when I loaded GTA back up again, I started getting this message.

Having the same problem. It looks like all we can do is wait til the servers come back online. Is anybody able to play right now?

I havent played GTA Online in over a week and now im getting this message well look on the bright side its all happening to us so R* will have to fix this problem fast!!

I was online and everyone in my session left then i got booted and now can't get back online. but all my friends are still online with no problems.

Me and a friend are both getting this error. We were both online last night when the servers went down and we got seperated from a playlist. kept getting the save failed error and it got late so i signed off. Cant get back on at all. Suuuuux

I was playing fine, someone started griefing me and then put a 9k bounty on me so I said thanks, left, and went to load an invite only session now nothing. Can't get on. Quite annoying

I left to go to the home screen on Xbox 360 and went to go back to online and I get the same message evertime this just happen
