Mental Stat Problem

With all the complaining r* might adjust it but I for one welcome it. Im a psycho and so far ive seen a few players try to avoid contact when i came their way. On another note if you want to be that guy who hunts us down dont complain when you get whats coming and dont be surprised if psycho players team up either.

 

Exactly. This is going to create a whole new environment.

 

If you're a player that doesn't mind dying a couple of times you can pull someone into the red and once they're there you can go open house without any game retaliation.

 

In other words, if you like to grieve, all you have to do is wait for the red guy to show up and you guys can lock horns for hours on end, neither getting any negative change in your color.

I always thought there shoulda been two seperate lobbies like RDR. I think its designed so that people always end up draining their resources through using ammo and cash all the time. FREE ROAM is a cash drainer for sure. At this point I dont even wanna free roam anymore, especially not if i cant even meet friendlies anymore...and that kinda like.... kills the whole reason ive been playing GTA for 17 years... free roam. I'm now of the attitude of: If they're going to label me for a psycho for killing NPCs, then f*ck em, might as well go Full Mental and kill everyone in sight (bar friends+crew).

so if your mental state increases if you kill nps, if you get in a police chase, and if you're defending yourself against other players how are you supposed to know if someone is aggressive towards other players or not if your blip will eventually turn red if you only do what i mentioned?

And if you do have multiple personalities...you also have multiple character slots.

This feature is new. It will probably be revised.They switched the bounty icon. Mental state is displayed like bounties were previously. Maybe this is early confusion, give it some time.

On the pause map bounties are red skulls and bounties in their apartment/garage are red houses. On the minimap bounties are red dots over a black X and Psychos are dots in varying shades of red in color.

Just hold down on the d-pad (Like you would when you change characters), then it should show your stats, including the new Mental State option.

Every lobby I have joined, at least half of the player blips are redish-bright red...

 

I think it's a pretty neat feature overall, but it is kinda lame how killing NPC's makes the bar go up.

 

Because of this, it really isn't a good indicator of who is a "friendly" player or not. Hell, I only shoot when provoked, and now I'm a psychopath.

 

I predict that almost everyone who dicks around in freemode will be a full on psychopath before the end of the week.

I'm not sure how to feel about the whole 'mental state'.

 

It's a good concept, but I don't like having the bar slowly go up each time you mow down an NPC, although on the flip side you are killing somebody, so it does make sense. Rockstar will probably change a few things within the next few weeks.

I haven't killed any players really yet, but it seems that when the Mental Stability goes up from attacking/killing NPCs, it cools down as well.

How much rp do you get for killing a psycho? Also when I was playing half the players had red blips, so they need to make it a lot more difficult to become a psycho, since I became one in 30 minutes.

After playing for a few hours, I don't know what everyone's problem is with it. I played my normal game with a couple of friends, even killed more than I usually do as we had a mini war with each other and the cops, and they told me I didn't go darker than a light pink. Which tbh pissed me off a bit as having a pink blip makes you look more like a pussy then white imo lol.
