Look the whole problem most of us are having is lack of information. If we had knowledge of how the system functions it would probably all make sense but instead we are all going nuts over bits and pieces of half assed info. I believe there is a lot more balance built in to this than we are aware of. For instance, as I said before, I got caught up with some pinks trying to kill me last night, defended myself, popped a few of them, killed a few cops, ended up pink myself...then I went racing with crew and after only a few races I was white again.

 

We need to hold our critiscizm until we have all the facts.

 

From what I have seen, we may end up with people who do missions and races etc a lot and dont spend much time in freeroam battles or just do things like gang attacks or rob stores or trucks or even kill police a bit will easily stay white through jobs and whatever else lowers the stat. These people will hopefully be matched with others like them and servers will be generally passive for them which they enjoy.

 

But then others who spend the majority of their time in freeroam causing havok committing crimes and not doing missions or jobs often will generally be at the upper end of the stat and will be grouped with like minded people and have their fun filled chaotic combat servers all the time. In otherwords yes for those people it will seem like everyone is psycho because everyone in their servers are red...but what they arent seeing is the passive people are just elsewhere...enjoying their own gameplay style.

 

I think primarily it need some time, maybe a week or two to sort itself out...and we need some legit testing to get some real info. On how this all really works.

i read somewhere (maybe the newswire?) that the game was supposed to put you in lobbies with other players that have the same mental state as you.

I can't believe some people are defending this BS system...So you don't go around and kill cops/pedestrians? That's really great! For you maybe. See, not everyone is like you. I myself enjoy a good cop chase. I enjoy getting the tank out and blowing the sh*t out of NPCs (notice I said NPCs and not players? I'll say that again: N-P-Cs.). So now because of me playing the game the way I've been doing since the second one, I'm now been clumped together with the most sh*ttiest of players; ones who constantly bring out their tanks to grief other players, run around in sports cars using stickies/etc, ect etc. Absolute bullsh*t.

i know it's just a game but, having to pay insurance when someone else destroys your vehicle got old a long time ago. for someone that's trying to save money for something and having this happen sucks.

Ehh, I've had the opposite experience. Ever since I've..."gone red", white dots come after me; it's me trying to stay away.

 

Also, until this broken mess is fixed, I now a have new "game" I play: some thing I like to call "Resist the Temptation". Here's how you play: Bring out tank, and leave it near somewhere popular; the main LSC or outside Eclipse Towers, for instants. Go passive then run back to your apartment and watch via TV. Sooner or later, another player will turn up and find it - will he resist temptation and ignore it, or will he climb in and go on a killspree? It's not really a question though - to this day, EVERYONE who has come across it has gone around killing others. It's fun to watch tbh though.

It's hilarious how some people think that everybody in the world plays the game the way they do.

 

Naturally, the psycho boobs can't see that there are normal people out there. That's cool. You psychos will see plenty of us coming after you soon for the RP reward. Guarantee our blips will stay white.

 

How much RP do you get for killing people? (Both white and red blips). I've asked a few times and no-one's answered me yet. I'm just curious as to whether it's actually worth killing red dots.

 

 

That... I couldn't tell you. When I did it, there were so many red dots around I kept worrying they'd get the drop on me (I absolutely HATE being killed in this game). I was too focused on getting the kill and then getting to safety. I have heard some ridiculous reports of 100k RP rewards. But there is a reward and lots of people want it, even if it turns out to be small.

 

I'll try to pay attention to it next time. Unless somebody else gets to it first.

 

I'm not too concerned myself, really, because it just feels good to kill a psycho. :shrug: In my case, 1 RP for the kill would be worth it.

I love it and ir's what bounties should have been from the start. Also, it should award cash for taking out a psychotic player and award cash for being X level of psycho for X minutes.

 

Even cooler, however, would be to connect it directly to wanted level and show the information only to people in cop uniforms.

This is my entire problem with the whole game. R* has been very vague about how ANYTHING works in this game. WTF are JP, job points? What rate do you gain bad sport? Why are the mission rewards allocated the way they are?

Its like every update or bug fix is:

 

"Hey we did something neat to the game. Try and figure it out from the one sentence we post about it. Also, it may not be implemented yet."

 

It really feels like the whole game is a Beta Test.

 

These are things I have commented to R* through the [email protected] email address. If you really want R* to listen its the only way. Guess how Ghost Racing got put in the game.

My point was, now that I'm a "Psycho", I've been matched up with the worst of the worst; in a normal session before all this crap, I'd get the odd 2 or 3 asshole running around. Now? Now, it's every damn player running around with RPGs, tanks, etc blowing people up. It feels like I've been thrown into Bad Sports, all because I killed some NPCs.

 

So yes I will "bitch", especially as this was working fine before they rolled out this system.

killing is part of the fun. Can't wait to fill up my fun meter and show everyone that I'm having fun.

Just taken the tank out in an invite only session with no other players. After about 4 or 5 mins of blowing stuff up before I died I have now gained 2 whole bars and am considered 'Deranged'. Presumably this means that 15 mins in a tank and I will be Psycho.

 

How is this useful to anyone? I'm a very passive player and enjoy PVE. This means other players will now think I'm a threat to them and it makes me a target to bounty hunters. It also means that I can't really play PVE anymore as it makes me a PVP target if I go into a public lobby.

 

If this doesn't decrease quickly then R* have screwed many passive/PVE players with this.

I like the idea of everyone in a lobby coming after me, but I don't think that's how it'll be. It'll encourage more person to person combat for sure. Expect chaos in public lobbies.

 

It took about 10-15 min to become a psycho in a tank. Which makes me think it's just a useless feature because there's a lot of days I just feel like popping a lot of cops in a tank and I assume most people have those days, so everyone will be mentally unfit soon enough.
