Discussion: Has Rockstar Abandoned the PC platform?

There will be more rumors&leaks this week about games that will be revealed at E3.Keep your eyes open.

I already look like this:

It will simply be too late. If now they can expect some profit from PC version, than six months later they will have none.

 

5 more days till E3 and hopefully till GTA V on PC. Announcement or release, just let it be something already. Personaly I am willing to wait as long as I know how much I'll have to wait.

What? You know that NG version are made out of the PC version right ? Or if it wouldn't even be, there are almost the same architecture so there's no chance there's gonna be a half year gap between them, it's 99% they are gonna be all released at one day. So I don't see any logic in your post, and second thing - noone releases a game 3 times.

 

The event is E3 / announcement I bet my balls - it's happening .

Releasing the PC version the same time as the next gen console version will hurt the console and GTAV (for those consoles) sales. And Sony might even pay Rockstar to release much later for PC and R* will keep on denying there's anything coming to PC.

It's not knowledge, but just my guess.

Ehem, contrary to your vast research, we actually had quite a bit of knowledge about the actual game even before its release (even the damn map), so your observations have been very poor and you clearly don't really put a lot of thought into your contributions when posting. Instead, you seem to just feel good about yourself due to your delusional belief that everyone around you is an idiot compared to your. No leak is wrong, if it's really a leak, because all a leak is is information which hasn't been authorised - the information may become true or false at any time. Implications can be made by accident, and they can reveal the true mentality of a person. Maybe you just don't think about the words you use properly, or maybe you are in fact arrogant and feel the need to prove yourself better than everyone by being "realistic about it" - either way, I pointed it out. How you deal with that is none of my business, until the next post I see which follows similar patterns.

 

You're not being realistic at all. Not by a long shot. But I never brought V on PC into this.. you seemed to originally be talking about leaks and how reliable they are, which is always - no one can say who has the proper authority to share information, but information is still information. And we happen to have a whole lot of it about V on PC. Doubting everything makes you pessimistic, not realistic. I'm not saying you should listen to everything, but when you go saying crap like "all V leaks have been wrong", it's clearly shows a more pessimistic side of you.

So waiting over a year to release a game,that already sold almost the maximum amount of copies on LG consoles, on other platform is "realistic" ?

Still you fixate on leaked information about V that was wrong. When we in fact had the map, the cast and by extension a lot of information on what the setting and themes of the game would be before it was even officially available. But there's a huge difference now anyway, as we already have V, and a lot of the information we have about it comes from the game itself.

 

Personally, I'm still a bigger 3D-era GTA fan and since it would probably be a long time before I got around to enjoying V anyway, plus my PC overheats when I play modern games for too long so I don't really care too much when or if the PC version is coming - the game's out so eventually I'll find the best way to play it. Still, without optimism or pessimism affecting my ideas, the amount of information about this thing is actually phenomenal. We've had more (solid) evidence towards this damn thing than any previous GTA release. Not to mention the simple facts that V is a long way from "done with" - therefore my excitement is more about "what will happen next?" than "will it be a PC announcement?!!". Build logs, man, build logs!
