Talking about insiders:

http://www.loadthegame.com/2014/05/30/uncharted-4-already-praised-insiders/

Thuway has seen Uncharted 4 so it proves he is reliable. Sorry to be off topic.

It's not off topic, everything is connected.

So many latest rumors&leaks were indicating at e3 announcement and June release and we can't deny that. The first one was when R* bailed from that Destination PlayStation Conference back in February and remember when we were like "It's way too far, they will announce it before E3". xD

I think ,after long 9 months of speculation, grasping on every rumor, leak and so many false announcement days (remember that IGN tweet about that laptop ,that was fun xD) it is safe to say that we will see that announcement on 9th of June and the release date won't be far away.

I made some bets,so it better be true xD

Hype up for E3 and f*cking finally ... hype up for V on PC.

I don't know why they would label this as a "Game":

Buildlogs say a Windows executable is named just "game.exe".

Later builds have it named GTA5.exe, as referenced by the AMD Driver leaks.

I've been checking STEAM APPS database, I know V is there but it's well hidden, most likely has a name that doesn't relate to it in anyway but I still keep an eye on this one:

I don't know why they would label this as a "Game":

That's just how Steam does official groups.

While surfing through internet, some interesting article caught my eye that says that W_D sold over 400.000 only on PC and in just first 4 days, wow thats impressive,PCs is not dead,in fact future of gaming is on PC,someone made a mistake by not releasing PC version of well known game, period.

That's actually pretty poor. This was meant to be the game that separated console and PC players with the PC version being the easy choice as the ultimate version. Surely it should have sold more than that? This is UbiSofts highest selling game on release so with the PC version barely cracking half a million, that means all console version except Wii U have run rings around it. And if the Wii U version sold more, well that's just dangerous.

Watch Dogs was very demanding. You had to have pretty good specs to play it. That plays a part.

Oh that's the excuse this time, the game is too demanding so it didn't sell well. ;)

Game was leaked few days before the actual release. People knew the optimization was bad,for some people the game didn't look as good as they expected so maybe that affected the overall sales even though that is a solid number. I'm sure V will double that.

The reality is if Sony announce a PS4 HD port it doesn't 100% mean a PC port anytime soon.

If Rockstar want they can release it for the new consoles and STILL hold it back from PC due to piracy.

Man that would be an absolute worst case scenario.

Yep,but i think it won't happen. They will not reduce piracy by delaying the game again.

Yep, and delays only make things worse. Make people even more desperate.

And,

I don't think its demanding. I haven't played it, but I heard from a friend who has. He said that he has no performance issues and that for example the RAM usage is between 2 or 3 Gigs on high settings. Wasn't the recommended specs for RAM a lot higher?

With all the stuff people have found in V's files, AMD drivers, etc. it's safe to say there definitely will be a PC version. It's just a matter of when.

Personally, I'm still with Ash on this and hoping it does come out at the end of June.

You know what, as a guy who has only ever been a console gamer and who wants to get into PC gaming, the system reqs for GTA 5 could be absolutely FRIGHTENING! Easily dwarfing those for Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein.

Only if it's horribly optimized, lol.

In fact, I'd go as far as to say that they'd be a little lower than WD's. Perhaps significantly lower. If there is a minimum 6 GB RAM requirement, It'll probably be because the map is so bloody huge and the detail on it on the PC version is even more insane. Everything else, though? I'm pretty sure it won't be demanding a 770 and a 4770k for max settings. The guys at Toronto/Vancouver (one and the same, i guess) know their sh*t.

I don't see the requirements being nearly as bad as any other port in the last 3 years. Remember the main assets for GTA V are built around running on machines from 2005.

At worst you'll need a high end GPU to push retarded AO and shadow settings. Otherwise it'll be no more difficult to run than GTA IV.

I have it and it is quiet demanding actually.

I say that because my 660 Ti OC (which was really fine with nearly every settings on ULTRA for FC3 or AC4, as exemples) was not so good with WD. I had to decrease several settings to get an acceptable average FPS level.

Then to be able to run it on "nearly everything ULTRA" settings, I had to switch to a GTX 780 OC. With that one, I get 60 average FPS. That's nice but at the same time, I realized that graphics are not much more beautiful, more astonishing than some great places in FC3 or AC4 :inlove:

I mean, needing to go to such a high-end GPU, then finally getting no real 'surprise' on my screen compared to what my previous mid-end GPU did... hum well, I think we can say that WD is quiet demanding :monocle:

Anyway, I bought this new graphic card not only for that game (which is fun... but not so nice, finally :bored: ) but rather in order to get my machine fully ready when V will be released :santa:

I have been resisting from the very beginning : not buying a f*cking LG console, not going on Youtube to watch ingame videos (just the couple of official trailers and a few MP fun)... now I am ready with my powerful platform to fully unleash the remastered version of the Game Of The Year :pp

WD is poorly optimised. People are saying that quite a few high spec rigs are having trouble with it. It's not that it's demanding, it's just Ubisoft pulling an EA on people.

That's it, you're right, mate : not that demanding, but rather poorly optimized : needs a lot of power to get some graphics finally not so suprising...

I sincerely hope (and is confident) that V will look as good on mid-end machines and a lot better on high-end ones

According to multiple industry insiders, Sony has somthing BIG to announce at their E3 presentation. The buzz is about GTA V for PS4. It might be called GTA V GOTY Edition or something similar. That would include the base game, all pre-order bonuses and a free download of the upcoming story DLC.
That's according to multiple industry insiders.

Hum, interesting... :monocle:

But where did you see such 'multiple industry insiders' ?

It will probably be lower than WD since it's only a last-gen game. My guess would be a bit higher than Max Payne 3. Wich isn't that high(for ultra).

Sorry for going off, but i really have to say this: WD is poorly optimized (GTAIV level). A friend told me it uses 2.5RAM gb of 16gb he got, it uses only 15% of CPU and it needs 2gb VRAM for high textures and 3gb for ultra textures. I decided not to buy it for this very reason. Too much hype on this game bring us too much disappointment.

I hope V would run way better, if not i'm not going to buy it as well, no joke.

tbh my hype is kind of dead (completely) even if they will announce it soon for PC on E3 i will not get super hyped anymore, the long wait just killed it...

if it was released on PC say 3-4 months ago i would've been more hyped but now im not sure how hyped im gonna be on announcement day, i hope im wrong tho (but if they will show extra nextgen features and stuff for PC version or something really cool and crazy ill get hyped up again).

While looking at the build logs I think I just found what renderer they used probably for promotional purposes or for physics simulation. They could really make an advantage from this on the PC version.

•Rayfire scenes fail to play. - 276626•216115 –“ rayfire has stopped working [re-work/optimse scene to reduce memory used]”

On build 153.

RayFire Studios plugin.

Edit: A last gen switch was available on Xbox 360 too, so that may actually not have anything to do with a PC version!

•360 crash using -lastgen (resolved)

Build 154.1.

I have been experimenting with VoroFrag and MassFX physics, and will probably give RayFire a try this summer. It's an awesome engine with lots of possibilities, as seen in many movies where it's been used. Here you can see a technical demo:

It would be awesome if they used FumeFX too :panic:

Did you really compare game engine to CGI (movie) engine? Todays PCs can't handle this in real-time, so you can't really compare these two. If you make a game that can use multiple systems, like that engine, and you have enough money to buy few high-end PC then yes it can put it to shame (I'm talking game wise and entire scene, not one animation...)

I'm not really sure if RayFire is able to work ingame. I think if they use it, it will be only for cinematics and trailers (I can think of the scene of the security van hiting a brick wall in the trailer, or the house being blown up by Trevor).

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Wow, it would be awesome if they used that Rayfire stuff in real time gameplay in next gen/PC version

Obviously old gen consoles weren't able to handle such demanding computations, but next gen consoles and PC's might be able to

Imagine destructible environment in GTA. Badass :D
