Red Dead was known for some time to be a permanent franchise. It doesn't mean it'll be unveiled at E3 even though there is a chance it will be.

Rockstar would want to market first, not one single chance they would just release the game out of nowhere.

 

Didn't somebody prove that statement wrong? They wouldn't release the game out of nowhere but what kind of a marketing is required for an eight year months old game? There would be an announcement of some sort but the teasing would be at its minimum.

 

An announcement would be enough advertising for them. If they announce something like that all the gaming channels will be all over it and the news will spread like wildfire.

As far as I can remember, the marketing for the PC version of IV consisted of a manly voice going "Coming soon to the PC" at the end of an otherwise very story-focused trailer. By that, I mean it wasn't meant to show off PC exclusive features or anything. It was just a general trailer for the game (most likely running on the PC). And then the voice-over guy just popped in at the end to let us all know it's coming to PC soon.

 

 

 

 

 

The Max Payne 3 PC trailer, however, made it abundantly clear that all the footage was on PC at max settings with all the DX 11 bells and whistles turned on. And it was actually called "Max Payne 3 PC Launch Trailer" by Rockstar. The IV PC trailer wasn't literally called the "PC trailer" by Rockstar officially.

 

All it takes is a Newswire post with a trailer, guys. Then everyone loses their minds.

GTA IV's trailer was definitely made in medium to low settings, hell, probably even Rockstar's computers couldn't run it properly. Also there is some noticeable lag.

 

Game had so terrible optimization on PC platform. They made it good with 1.4 patch. And with 1.7 patch it's better..

 

GTA IV is working great now with 1.0.7.0 patch. Rockstar couldn't do that with release (1.0)

 

But they learnt so much thing with GTA IV. They made Max Payne 3 great. Every PC run that game..

 

I'm waiting this with GTA V too. They are making GTA V to PC since 2009.

 

5 fu*kin years !! I think they did great optimization & great graphics.

 

We don't want second GTA IV caos or like Watch_Dogs release. We want best. Because they are doing this game since 5 years..

f*ck man, I can almost taste that newswire post... And it tastes good. I'd have a heart attack if I went in R*.com and discovered it.

I see it now make sense,this must be the project mentioned in the tweet (project released by March 2015) although if these two are the one to be revealed on E3 then im not holding my breath,on the other hand what else to expect,im bored with the sequels,GTA was the only reason i still play games,yet GTA divorced with PC,it sucks.

BTW it will definitely NOT come in June like Ash says, because (quote from Take 2 IR website about financial outlook):

 

Non GAAP net revenue for First Quarter ending 6/30/2014 = $120 to $135 Million (which IMO is waaay too small amount of money if next gen GTA V would come out)

 

Non GAAP net revenue for Fiscal Year ending 3/31/2015 = $1.35 to $1.45 Billion (so there is a possibility that this money will be mainly from next gen GTA V, but it also could be RDR 2 instead of GTA V)

As a PC gamer i never understood the console concept of so called "next gen".Would people really buy any game twice just for updated graphics? I mean if i had V now i would never buy it again for a console compared to a PC.

Ok, those build logs mention the PC, so you MIGHT have something there.

 

But what is the evidence for them making any next gen versions whatsoever? Also, THEY NEVER ANNOUNCE STUFF AT E3. Not rockstar, not take two. You might get a themed pair of headphones from sony, but that's it. Or maybe some idiot with a tattoo, but I doubt it.

Because people don't want to waste their time on loading screens? They want online with 32 people?They want stable 30 fps?Most of the people who have CG consoles will double dip with V and they probably want to play that story DLC on a CG console.

But did we get anything at e3 2011? E3 2012? E3 2013 (well, that one pair of headphones)? Did they release any gameplay or trailers or announce anything at any of those shows? No.

Several new screenshots of GTAV were shown during last years E3 at the Sony press conference.

It just didn't go on pair with their schedule maybe ? Why do they have to announce/reveal something on every e3 ? What did they have to announce/reveal on E3 2012 or 2011 ?

 

New consoles lack games,basically they have NO GAMES. They will bring their big guns on this e3 and one of them is probably (we are not saying it will happen,no1 is 100% sure they will reveal announce something on this e3, it COULD happen) R*.

For f*cks sake, I already told you, if the PS4/XB1 were NOT announced in any of the E3's until 2013, how are they going to announce V like that and make people wait for no reason? Because at that time we had no idea when they would announce these consoles, therefore we wouldn't have any idea when the game would come out.

And I strongly believe it wil happen at E3 or before. When else could it be to make an impact after all that time without a word?

 

If by any chance (or lack of ) nothing happen around E3. I'll start to wait for Far Cry 4. I loved FC3 and I expect 4 to be as good or even better.
