Mafia 3 discussions like this will never end :D I like how everyone has mixed feelings about the game and the discussion just goes on.

I've finished my herbalism game yesterday. Also, I'm about halfway through with the collectibles and have 5 districts left to wiretap.

To be honest, M3's collectibles and how you actually collect them are probably the most fun collectibles I've ever seen in an open world game. While picking up the wiretaps can get a little tedious after a while, you visit a lot of fun places while doing so. The amount of interiors in this game is probably more than all GTAs combined, even though a few repeat themselves.

I just have a lot of fun collecting, it's going to be the first open world game since GTA San Andreas where I actually bother to collect everything.

Gonna grow a lot of herb and collect the rest in the meantime, while slowly renovating Sammy's. Then I'll put the game aside for a while and replay it sometime on another profile so I won't loose my save.

It's actually interesting. Someone try using the Dart gun when fighting with a capo, please.

Licoln is practically homeless in this story anyway . He made an arrangement with cassandra to let him crash at her house occasionally. Still its a nice place to start your game from the outside patio is pretty cool also.

the interiors are also great places to hold up if you're in a shootout. i'm not talking about roleplaying screwing with peds to get police attention then holding up somewhere for a confrontation. I'm talking in game. yesterday I was doing sign of the times and I was on my way to the warehouse mission when I got ambushed by an ensenglante retaliation squad on a crossroads near the bayou. none of the racket hideouts safehoused were near enough for me to run to for some help with any of Cassandra, burke or vito's men. I paused looked on the map and a gas station was the closest place for me to go. these guys were good they were more harder than sals hit squad. they had me surrounded and were spread out. I took cover behind the counter and some walls . one of them strafed near the gas pumps so I shot the pump and blew him up. then I continued shooting from cover until I killed them all.

Just got the full game and damn what is wrong with the textures/lightning? Must be one of the worst I have ever seen... also the shooting mechanics are quite poor IMO. This is a pretty poor effort so far by Hangar 13. I do like the cut-scenes though. Also the bugs I have come across are just ridiculous for only playing the game for 2 hours. I have seen more than the last 3 years playing GTA V. AI hanging up/dead, textures are all over the place etc

wow...

On the positive I only paid £15 for this.

Playing on PS4 never had any problems with many bugs at all , just finished the main game, it is an outstanding game. Any gamers who appreciate a sympathetic character ,great story, amazing music, real graphic violence, and a great sandbox, must play it. 5 stars...

As much as I enjoyed the game at release, and I still enjoy it to this day; I would love to play it with fresh eyes with the DLCs downloaded to create the feeling of an entire game; have the main quest of exacting revenge on the Marcano mob as your primary objective and during that time dip into DLC missions as a break.

I bought this game on release but sadly sold it before I could finish it. Desperate times! I think I was stuck for travel money and lunch money, lol. Anywho, I bought the Deluxe edition or whatever it is with the DLC. Now I can finish the story and play through the DLC.

Seriously, I love hard copies of games but some times the sales are too good and I wind up getting mostly digital downloads.

I love this game, no matter how many people who know nothing about writing stories or actual video games besides button mashing and drooling, this will be the best tale of revenge for me, inside and outside of the videogame world. It's great for about a week, but when you actually start taking over things, and enemies start disappearing and whatnot, you're ultimately left with a finished game with nothing to do.

You can fight the cops, but they don't drop ammo ( smart decision), and it just saddens me. Ended up like Asassin's Creed Syndicate in the end, no more enemies, controlling all districts. I just wish there was a reset button for it all without having to restart the entire game. No matter how much I love this game, it's Prologue/beginning before the turning point is extremely slow and painful.

Nonetheless, Lincoln Clay is the epitome of vengeance. Mafia 3 will always be one of the good games in my libraries.

I think you're better off playing Faster Baby and Sign of the Times as soon as they're unlocked dude. I'd leave Stones Unturned for after the story. I played it right amidst the story and it didn't feel right going on some Vietnam nostalgia trip whilst trying to take down Marcano.

Faster Baby is up to debate and you really can't go wrong. Stones Unturned should be saved for later, either after the ending or sometime before that. I think Sign of Times works best as early as possible.

If I'm going to replay this, I'll do Sign of Times - Take over a few districts - Faster Baby - Take over the rest - Stones unturned - endgame. This order works the best I think. Better to start the two businesses as early as possible.

It happens that I had taken all of the districts last time I played. All I really needed to do was a do the last few missions to get max kickback from my underbosses. Wasn't too pushed about Vietnam DLC, well, I am but I was intrigued by the other 2 DLC first. I have to say, the missions taking down the Sheriff were brilliant. I love the way the new piece of map is really picturesque and that it's made for car chases. Rarely in a GTA-style open-world to we get map add-ons. I really would love to see Rockstar do this some time.

So yeah, all I have is DLC story missions and races. So I'm doing some races and getting Achievements. I want to save some of those story DLC missions and spread them out because I really love them. Also spent some time exploring last night. Found an old abandoned church with a couple of abandoned houses in the Bayou with half of it's cemetery submerged in water. It's a really spooky place. Love driving through the bayou on a dark rainy night. So much atmosphere!

Few things I really want to see in GTA that Mafia does:

- Operational car trunks. Being able to throw people in the trunk is brilliant. Some times if I see a hitchhiker I might pretend I'm a serial killer or roleplay as a drug/debt collector and when someone doesn't pay up, I whack the guy, put him in the trunk and drive to a nearby pier and throw them in the water, lol :p

- Picking bodies up. This ties in with my last point. I love throwing people in to the river.

- Hit squad, consigliere and delivery driver. In GTA V, I didn't like any of the cars the characters drove. Having the car delivery system, a bit like the one in Scarface too, allows me to have the car I want depending on the mission or what I'm doing. I love that it's unrealistic. They come immediately. I don't mind this as it's a videogame. Also when you mod the cars you don't have to save them anywhere. Just call up and the guy comes. "An-mhaith" as he says in Irish.

- Breaking in to interiors and huge amount of interiors.

- Brutal takedowns. I'm still seeing new ones.

This game is a disappointment, nothing more. I still can not believe how they f***ed up this series. The worst thing is some people defend this trash.

I can never seem to get into these Mafia games past the point where you're first allowed to free roam. :/ I think I drove out to the water, got eaten by an alligator and was like "this is pretty cool" then I put the game down and haven't played it again since.

Don't like it then that's your opinion, you have absolutely no f*cking reason to blame people who defend this game.

I'm not saying M3 is the best game of all time. They certainly did a handful of wrong design choices during development and graphics weren't up to date. Still, trash is the wrong word.

Sorry but your post is like a 0/10 metacritic score.

Tell people to mind their own business while blaming everyone for liking this game. Good job.

Whatever, if you think that's a good way to rate a game so be it.

I'm not. I don't like Mafia 3 either in the end.

I was just reflecting your post to yourself to see how much you like it. Your comment about the game wasn't much of a quality either.

I haven't played the game in a while. Got halfway in and just stopped. It was alright from what I played but I do admit the repetitive nature of the missions is a drag. At least the stealth and combat is fun. I see they've released a lot content for it since I stopped playing though and apparently patched some glitches, so I'll probably play it again sometime soon.

I don't see it as f*cking up the series though, the first Mafia game was just average like this one, and the second one sucked.

Please keep it respectful. Fashion didn't attack you personally. As for "mind your own business" you posted your opinion on a public forum. Expect it your opinion to be challenged.

By the way, you're entitled to our opinion and I respect that. I disagree that it's trash as above I've posted a few features that are great that I would love in a GTA. The ambition is there but the execution needs work. I think III is a great stepping stone and learning curve for Hangar 13. I think it will only get better. BTW, I put more hours in III than II because there was more to do and I I thought the story was amazing. The setting is original and the choice of location too. What other GTA-style crime games can you play in the 1960's in New Orleans? :)

Atleast they got the "mafia" feeling and they are not buggy, graphics not glitching, and no worse car physics. Mafia 3 feels like a different game, it feels like I don't know.....Many things about mafia 3 is bad and it is worst game ever for many mafia fans(and also for me)

But I don't know this just doesn't feel like a mafia game, this game itself is "completely wrong" and shouldn't be called "mafia" because it doesn't deserve it. More to do?I didn't played the game but there is almost nothing to do. Setting is original but means nothing if graphics are glitchy. I mean look at this:
