I'm so excited about this. I'm gonna wet my bed every night for the next year or so because i'm so psyched.

Mafia II is one of my absolute favourite games of all time.

I just hope it's the same great game as Mafia 2 but with a bigger map for driving. Also, I wouldn't mind figuring out what happened to Joe, if they happen to go that route.

Anyway, i'm looking forward to it.

It's pretty obvious what happened to him...

Anyway I hope Mafia III doesnt have 40 delays like Mafia 2 did

Here's me hoping that the reveal footage will be in-engine and not a CG trailer. As for the release date, I guess Fall 2016. I would be surprised if it released before that time, either in Summer or Spring.

I have said that btw.

I'm sorry but if mafia 3 was great as mafia 2 then i won't bother even to pirate the game (not even going to buy it)

It should be great or as great or greater than mafia 1 Not 2.

I'm really looking forward to this game. A proper seventies crime game - something that GTA could never seem to deliver.

Being the seventies, there will no doubt be a fantastic soundtrack to accompany it. I love GTA Vice City for it's eighties music, I love Mafia II for it's forties/fifties music, and I'm sure I'll love Mafia III for it's seventies selection.

Music sets the tone and the atmosphere of games like this, and if they pull it off correctly you will most certainly feel as though you're lost in a completely different decade. :alien:

Being set in Louisiana, I hope we get to meet this familiar face somewhere along the way.

Mafia III Online

No.

Its a single player title only.

No please, I want Mafia 3 to be a single player experience. If they do make a Mafia Online, keep that crap separated.

Mafia III can have some sort of crew based multiplayer or something like The Last Of Us. Knowing how much they cut out of Mafia II I would hate to see what having to develop a multiplayer would do to the story.

Haden Blackman seems to be leading Mafia 3 and has mainly worked with Star wars games, including a Star Wars MMORPG. I couldn't find particularly interesting besides, him leaving Lucasarts and had been writing the SW series for many years.

As a developer ( creative head ) Mafia 3 seems to be the very first big AAA project for him. I am not sure who is actually heading the development for M3. In any way, I am unsure about him being on-board mainly as the developer than as a writer, whether he would really bring something truly better than Mafia 1 and what the series fans have wanted to see for years. :/

I couldn't find any interviews either of him talking about Mafia 3. Something I would want to see in coming weeks to know more about what's his vision for Mafia and what creative work has been put into making it better yet closer to the masterpiece Mafia 1.

Alao, since he has a history of working on consoles mainly, I think the game might get heavily consolified in design and that would really suck as someone who loved Mafia 1 gameplay mechanics :/

One thing I hope Mafia III lets us do is let us control our own family like the Godfather games. Mafia II was a great game, but I have to admit being the hired muscle did get a bit tiring after a while.

Being the "boss" this time would be so epic.

I do hope at some point you're right, but I think the whole point of Mafia games is to give a realistic portrayal of rising through the ranks of the Mafia, however the last two games didn't come with any real changes as you rose through the ranks, so I'm hoping in Mafia 3, as you rise through the family, you get more and more benefits, for example, maybe being able to call up a few associates to help you carry out a hit or something, or like you mentioned, being able to take over businesses once you become the boss. I'm just hoping this particular feature will return:

Opening the hoods/trunks of cars was so stupid that it was hilarious. It must make up about half of my game time.

Cheers!

I don't want to get hyped too much, atleast not yet, apparently they're ready to reveal first infos, but i'm also interested on which stage is this game right now, probably advanced, late 2016 release date seems like a solid assumption. Fixing your engine in II was so nice feature :)

I feel like this series havent said last word and there is huge potential for this game

Mafia IV could be placed somewhere in late 1970's with Saturday Night Fever / Driver: Parallel Lines atmosphere

Mafia V - 1980s, multiple cities,

Mafia VI - 1990s, Mafia VII - early 2000's

I could be wrong though, as i feel, they choose Mafia series for the past, while GTA serves it's purpose being modern day cities, you never know ...

Anyways series has big potential, gamers aren't bored with this series as with others series, atleast not yet .... also, since it's much less complex than hint hint, Mafia should be released on a much more frequent scale, like every 3 - 4 years.

Since Hangar13 doesnt seem to have any track record Im a bit worried.

I guess it is possible that MAFIA III wont be anything like the first 2 games.

I hope it doesnt make a shift like the Saints Row or Borther in Arms Franchise...

So this game is going to be in the 70's right?

Sounds awesome, hope it has similiar vibes to Driver Parallel Lines.

Officer Garza

Hopefully the police will more have work in Mafia III than Mafia II, the police in mafia II was good but lazy with the uniform and models of the offices, thee were only three faces if I remember correctly in mafia II for the police.

Let's hope there are more uniform variety and more variety of police officer models and faces.

Regards,

Mr. Krabs

Guys who ever in these picture, they will be the main characters of the story so don't hype for vito or anything like that

But vito will still appear, the voice actor have teased for the game himself lots of times, and vito will be old guy,he can't be a protagonist.

You serious? that's just lazy programming, more faces for the gangsters and mobsters but not police offices? Lazy.

Misunderstood

I just hope they don't force multiplayer into this game. Mafia just never felt like a game that needed multiplayer, like God of War. Give us a strong singleplayer with great characters and story like II with a full on freeroam and side quests.
