Official General
- The police are actually Navy Seals mixed in with a little robocop and the guys from the movie SWAT That's another thing that annoys me about this game. The apparent invincibility of the police - I just don't understand how they can kill you with very few shots, and pierce your full armor in seconds, yet it can take a while to kill just one of them. And their bullets magically seem to find their way to hit you, regardless of the fact that you have sufficient cover and barriers to protect you from their nearby gunfire. It's similar thing with gang members too. @ above Give that realistic steak bullsh*t a rest, it's got old a long time ago, that party was long over. It's not even that funny to begin with, damn. I know they're could be other reasons (maybe the animals are calling 911?) But down to the exact spot? Simple. They are set to fire on auto-aim. They are almost 95% accurate, and if you don't strife between bullets and kill them first, they can drop you within a couple of seconds like you withnessed yourself. True challenge for free-aimers. And no, they are not invincible. One bullet to the head and they are going down instantly. Edited May 11, 2014 by Strength
MountAndDoMe2
I hate how Trevor's garage is so small. Like you can fit two small cars in there or one normal car. Everytime I put two cars in there one of them disappears, not that it matters you all know we save cars just to save them and not actually use them also I don't enjoy cops always being on my ass in online, you can't do anything illegal without getting a star, plus there's too many hackers and people with tanks that like to sit outside LS customs, and I think the new update is gonna be crap for the online races, they're making it so that you can't collide with other players cars, you just go through them. Well that takes away a lot of fun what's the point of even racing then? If you're all technectly on your own track... I'll just stick to offline... toughmeister
Most people probably know this, but you don't see any NPC's swimming or scuba diving in the ocean. Thats definately not cool at all. I remember when we were told there was going to be NPC's diving in the ocean, and those screenshots that showed trevor diving with an NPC behind him and another one with Trevor in a submarine approaching a diver. warlord GTAV

Not true. It's not VERY common, but I often see NPCs in groups, gently keeping themselves afloat. I've also seen a few divers. Online, it seems these details are removed for the sake of performance. Bonnano
- Crash physics are so sh*t, even an 18-wheeler can't push out of the way an Issi without coming to a full stop. - You can't save other characters' personal car (i.e Tailgater, Buffalo2, Bohdi) because as soon as you Quick Save, kiss goodbye to it. Bonnano
That's not true, a Firetruck can throw a Cheval flying at a high speed. From a certain angle, it can. But rear-ending, the most common type of crash a player would have in this game, you come to a halt eventually. theGTAking101

SingularSoul
After having a laugh online with my crew this evening by lining 5 or 6 tanks on a train bridge and then watching the resulting carnage, I can now safely conclude that the physics in this game either cause vehicles to be made of concrete or bouncy balls. Flying tanks, yet a truck vs a car results in the truck almost stopping. Where's the consistancy R*? 98 in 1
You can't leave the car engine on after exiting the car. You can, but you have to punch the air 2 times, hop in, and then hop out right as you turn it on. Or, just shoot from the car when your in it and risk getting a wanted level. Wonderful, isn't it? ddyoung
Am I the only one who doesn't think the cops are over powered? Yes, their cars have incredible acceleration, but the combat against them and the losing wanted level, I feel, are more realistic and better than GTA IV. Cutter De Blanc
This isn't a discussion about cheating cops or if they are overpowered. It's common knowledge that the cops do what they do. On topic: I tried to have the AI Trevor take off in the Lazer, while I watched as Michael. Apparently the AI wants to drive the plane around on the road like it's a car. He taxied the plane out to the road and drove all the way to his house and around the corner before I got bored of following him.
voyager
(i don't think the cops are ridiculous either, but that's a whole other topic buddy) you earn a wanted level for spraying cars and peds with the firetruck, even if you don't kill them by doing so, so it's not all that fun to take one out for a spin. the giant dumptruck is easily destroyed if you drive over top of another vehicle with it and that vehicle explodes beneath you. it's pretty easy to drive over top of vehicles in it without even meaning to, and they are pretty likely to explode when you do so. (that said, it made me ridiculously happy to discover it and discover it was driveable! thanks devs! more driveable heavy equipment the better) the tram will stop for you if you park in front of it, unlike the train. however if you spook or shoot the tram driver, he dies with his foot on the accelerator. I haven't seen divers, what you said was probably true, but I've seen lots of swimmers near beaches like Del Perro, and I've spent countless hours on a Seashark running over their heads and killing them. OT: No safehouses (no multiple safehouses anyway) in Paleto Bay, you always have to spend time going there, and Trevor often spawns in Los Santos in the later game. Result? The rest of San Andreas really feels neglected.
Dark Passenger
- NPC's don't ride the Ferris Wheel or Roller Coaster over at Del Pierro Pier. (Talk about a "living-breathing world"...) *sarcasm* - Bloody footprints do not show up in the game unlike previous GTA's when you would walk over a dead body you would notice bloody footprints after walking away from the body. - You can't hold onto ledges when climbing and can't "cancel" the climb like you could do in GTA IV. You cannot also shimmy. - First GTA to not feature the Mr. Whoopie Ice Cream Truck. - When playing Single Player you cannot hold up the cellphone to your character's ear when driving a motorcycle. In GTA IV, it would show the character hold the phone up to his ear as if he was realistically talking on the phone. - Big commercial passenger airplanes do not fly over the city or anywhere else for that matter. From GTA III up to GTA IV these huge airplanes would be seen flying in the sky to give off a "realistic" feel to the open-world you were in. You would of thought that on a map size that GTA V presents you would see this. Edited May 12, 2014 by Dark Passenger

If you only tap the "Y" button or the equivalent on PS rather than hold it down to exist, the player gets out of the car without turning the engine off. I've done it a lot when making a quick exit or not pressing the button properly. It certainly is not something that's wildly complicated. - Big commercial passenger airplanes do not fly over the city or anywhere else for that matter. Snoochie_Boochies
the people of Los Santos are apparently gifted with precognition, as they have already dialed 911, reported my crime, and have the police on my tail around the exact same instant I do something wrong. pilscy and kasa

It was exactly like that in IV, but that is not the case in V. You turn the engine off regardless of whether you hold Y/Triangle or tap it, unless you are in the combat stance when you exit, hence the need to shoot and or punch.
