However, things have changed a lot, Eurovision now a days is used as a political / social movement to achieves bullsh*t. Politics: -Albania, Azerbaijan Macedonia, Bosnia = Vote Turkey due to religion and anti-Russia/Serbia sentiment. -Belarus = They vote Russia because they feel connected to Russia and they still have the Communist party ruling the country. -Moldova = Votes Romania. Moldova was part of Romania and most people feel Romanian in Modova (Except the eastern part). -Scandinavian countries vote each other. -Armenia = Vote Russia since they are Orthodox and Pro-Russian. ----- Social Movements: Now it's time where Eurovision has move from a "Glamour" contest on weather songs where highly elaborated to a bunch of wannabe Hipsters who do stupid things because they are attention whores. The booing Russia got for being "Anti-Gay" WTF? Since when is Eurovision the place to go and support LGBT? This is a song contest not the Gay Parade so please, keep it to music and not start protesting for things that are not related... It's like going to watch a Football game and start protesting during the match because the Gas price are to high... Not the place indeed. Misbegotten cad Posted May 13, 2014 Share Posted May 13, 2014 I fondly remember the days when ESC was respectable song contest. -there were real song with catchy tunes, and people used their mother tongues in the lyrics. These days ESC is more like a circus competition. The country with the most bizarre circus act wins the day. And this time the most burlesque was the bearded lady. I tell you, if that lady had shaved her beard, she would not have won. It was the beard that won the day for her. Okay, I get it that ESC is now political arena for minorities. And it's fine I guess. But I stil miss the good old days when it was all about beautiful music. P.S. That bearded lady is a bit of a hottie. I would surely do her, if she shaved first.
