GTA is better off without gyms.

It's a bit of fun for the first few seconds, but gets tedious way too fast. I also prefer my GTA protagonist to have a consistent body build throughout the whole journey.

True. GTA V wouldn't be the same without Micheal's dad bod

Just like the rest of the game. 😛

San Andreas has some good songs granted, but it's never done as much for me as Vice City did. The best soundtracks are Vice City, GTA IV and TLAD in that order IMO.

Don't forget the RPG, Customization, and Jetpack. If anyone ask why SA is amazing, those will be the first, second, and third answers

Gta LCS has a damn good soundtrack better than V imo their k jah with natalie Walsh davis was f*cking excellent

Majority of folks on here bitch too much about deconstruction Cj isnt a nice guy even when he ran away from los santos he was part of a leone car theft ring and mugged a guy plus I found the mission hilarious.

Demolition man was easy just use the helicopter blades to kill the construction workers

Cj isnt a pussy

Combat wise Trevor is overestimated by a lot of fans

Tommy is a tad bit overrated

I'd rather not see the series return back to Mafia nor would I be interested in playing as a cop unless its a undercover FIB agent in a gang or something

Female protogainst would work just fine and would be an interesting take

I agree. He is among my favorite protagonists, but still not really something special. Intelligent and charismatic to some extent, but not so much backstory. His voice acting wasn't a piece of art neither.

I think nu metal would've fit the tone and atmosphere of GTA3 the best, especially "Crawling" by Linkin Park and "My Way" by Limp Bizkit.

On the other note i think "Shotgun" by Limp Bizkit would've fit GTAV perfectly

In GTA IV, and its episodes, it's much more enjoyable to drive an everyday car than a sports/luxury one.

I'd perfer SA's soundtrack over V's one. I'd give points to The Low Down 91.1 for having many classics though. But yeah VC's soundtrack was on a whole other level. Way too many good hits to name here lol. VC will always be my top.

VC's soundtrack is way overrated. Being full of hits don't make it good. It did have the only good latino station in the series though.

Comparatively, I found VCS's soundtrack to be way better, probably because they feel like real radio stations and not just a 'Hits from the 80s' playlist. Still love VC's soundtrack though

Yep even I find VCS soundtrack far better.

Emotion sucked though, in my opinion. The original Vice City Emotion is a banger.

I don't think i actually like Grand theft auto that much? I like a lot of the individual pieces and i like the concepts that make up the series in abstract and i do like some parts of the community but i just don't think the sum of all those parts adds up to much

I also don't think anyone else does an especially better job at the genre so i guess i'm stuck here until someone makes some real competition

I completely agree, but i did like Wildstyle

- I don't like concepts in this section, story-wise. The stories are either too serious for my taste or simply boring, i'd like to see more over-the-top or goofy ones but unfortunately i'm not really good at writing stories so i'm not good at making up good goofy ones

GTA III has the most interesting and charming set of characters in the 3D era.

Salvatore, Love, Kenji, Asuka, Ray, even Catalina and Toni to some extent. Sure, some have mediocre voice acting, the dialogues aren't that long, and character backstories are not really existence, but being the first title with voiced storyline characters, that's really understandable.

Claude being voiceless despite being the protagonist of the game doesn't help so much, but it's not really a big problem, since GTA III is a very groundbreaking video game anyway.

Yeah like, I know people enjoy them but I've never been interested in it. The modifications barely affect how the cars drive (and can easily make them drive worse) and the modification options are generally dull and repetitive, and in many cases downright ugly. At most I'll check out what the most unique/outlandish options are and make a couple of cars look as over the top as possible for a bit of fun when I'm bored of everything else. And the other thing is the game isn't even built very well for having customised cars - there's limited space to save them, multiple issues with saved cars actually staying saved, and if you take it out for a drive you can easily lose it since cars getting wrecked or disappearing is the norm. Using them for missions? Forget it. So even when I bother to mod cars they usually aren't any use to me and either just sit in a garage forever or immediately get wrecked/lost.

People literally judge which game is the best based on this feature and it's like.....really?? It's such a small and unimportant feature to me.

@billiejoearmstrong8 i wouldn’t call unimportant but it doesn’t do anything. there is no way of enjoying your customised car, it disappears for no reason. what is the good part of a hight end customised car when the player isn’t able to use it anyway he/she wants? go to a mission and it’s nowhere to be found. not to mention it’s only useless in singleplayer of gta 5, online does it perfect. back in the day when game was released people said it was about the game’s memory that deletes the car because it needs more space, it is completely nonsense, in online no matter where you go your car won’t disappear because game can delete and respawn at the same location where you left it. it is simple as that. gta online is the first game the car customisation has a point

Well, me being a tad bit interested in cars and the looks of them, I would say the car customization in both games were a nice touch especially for a game that has something to do with cars in the title.

However, I only found it useless in SA because you can never race with them, and then you end up wasting your money.

If it was more useful, interesting/varied and practical maybe. I like it when there's cool looking cars but most of the modification options are a bit crappy, 9 times out of 10 it's better to just find an already cool looking car in the street. And as mentioned they're not very useful in actually completing the game because most missions are set up for using the default car or a car selected for you rather than for stored ones or ones you bring, and it can be a pain to actually use/keep them even in freeroam because of the nature of the game where cars are disposable and constantly get wrecked or lost. I don't mind it being there but it's just very low down on the list of things that are important, I can't imagine using it as a major factor to judge how good the game is.

I guess this one is VERY unpopular:

- GTA IV has better graphics than GTA V. Yeah, even graphics can be subjective. I honestly prefer the sky colors and cloud shapes of GTA IV to the ones in GTA V, and even though I wish the game had cleaner color correction filters for some hours of certain weathers, I kinda like the cold atmosphere it tried to achieve with the somewhat muted colors, so adapting with it is not really a big deal. I also prefer the lighting and shadows of GTA IV.

It's useless in San Andreas, but atleast GTA V has more performance enhancing modifications. Sure it's no Midnight Club, Forza etc, but it's pretty good for an open world game IMO. I've spent far more time modifying vehicles in GTA V because it has better variety and is far more in depth. We can even modify motorbikes.

I found it useless in San Andreas simply because of how easy it was to lose cars and performance mods were extremely limited. I used to abhor the decision to have left it out in GTA IV, but over time I started caring less and less about it. I would've only liked vehicle customising in GTA IV if it was as deep as GTA V's. I don't miss San Andreas' at all.

gta 5 has super cool modifications but the protagonists’ default cars come out of nowhere in missions and your costumised car dissappears. another gameplay thing is gone for canon

When you lose your non-default car, it'll appear in the impound garage, so it's not that bad.

And it's a better solution to San Andreas. If you take a modified car to a mission and it vaults you into to using something else then you better hope you have an old save with said vehicle saved otherwise you're screwed.

i simply dislike like they didn’t bother to add a feature that is in online already. in online you can even call for destroyed cars and get them in your location wtf. and i said above too it’s not like the car should dissappear or something like that. it can just stay there like it does in online. this is just a broken gameplay mechanic, it basically says use the car that is given to you or piss off
