I kinda want a semi-serious radio talk show or at least a return of the story-related talk shows seen on WCTR in San Andreas.

 

Saying this because I really enjoyed listening to The Hollow Speaks and Native Son on Mafia 3 as well as the brief snippet of the live baseball game in Mafia: DE. I just feel that it's good to balance out comedic and dirty talk shows with some more serious and grounded flair.

 

Also I kind of wish for more fictional DJs to make a return to the games in general. Having real celebrities voice themselves in game feels kind of jarring from an immersion perspective.

You mentioned Mafia 3 stations, ever notice how they didn’t have any DJs? My unpopular opinion is that I’d rather have no DJs than real people being the DJ

The more I look at the absolute prick state of all these IRL businesses, IRL politics and even the IRL society, the more I feel convinced that foretelling in R*'s humor was real, my main mang. It's like R* already knew that the world would eventually become what it is today: Zaibatsu Pharmaceuticals-like big corporations openly ruling over their (idiot) consumers, dumbass politicians like Donald Love\Jock Cranley\Bryce Dawkins\Thomas Stubbs\Alex Shrub\Miles O'Donovan\Roger C. Hole and the country's entire society full of cashgrab retards.

Here's an extremely unpopular opinion:

 

I honestly dig GTA3's gloomy weather in all the raw, rusty and polluted-ish vibes it gives off. It fits the city's tone real well IMHO, maybe even more so than LCS' timecycle data which is a literal eyesore at times.

I dont think even Dan Houser in his wisdom will prepare whole world for old mumbling potato as president of USA handling potential start of WW3 .

 

Im somewhat feeling like why are on wrong tracks or in endgame, because Putin saw western countries falling and he saw this as great opportunity for war in Europe. It only needs Chinese Winnie the Pooh to take his cut on Taiwan...

How lol? Clearly, San An is the best selling out of them. The others, especially the PSP exclusives and of course that one game nobody cares about, don't really come close to it.

What? It being best selling game out of them doesn't mean its the best. SA has a lot of issues which people tend to overlook just because it's "SA". Totally based opinion. 

And people do care about other GTAs and PSP ones are really underrated, especially VCS.

When I said that the other games don't really come close to SA, I meant in the sense that they aren't really as popular and selling as it. The guy I quoted said that all 3D era games are (somehow) "overrated" except for San Andreas out of everything, lol.

Whether it's the best or not is completely subjective and depends on the person.

Yeah, it's really unfortunate that we never got VCS and LCS for PC. Them being exclusive for PSP (later released for PS2 and Android (only LCS)) is why they are mostly forgotten and overlooked. Agree on the last part, but objectively SA has some issues that show it's age and limitations. The most annoying thing for me was wardrobe, it takes ages to try and purchase clothes you want. I guess while you are younger you tend to play for the fun and mayhem but when you get older/mature you can relate to characters, story, and notice some gameplay and technical issues to which you didnt pay attention as a kid.

I'm well aware that they were later released for PS2, but they were exclusive for PSP for some time. Either way, they are underrated games.

Say what? They were exclusive for PSP before being released for PS2. They are Playstation exclusive. What's the issue? The fact that I forgot to write PS2?

Yasyesyas, WERE EXCLUSIVE TO PSP, not anymoar tho.

Issue here was that ye only mentioned PSP, either mention PS2 as well or mention only PS (though that doesn't tell WHICH PS things)

By the way, using the previous logic ye had, we can say that 3D GTA's are PS2 exclusive, since it always took some time to release them on BOXY X and Quite Very Personal Computer systems.

But later releases to other systems screw that logic, so there goes all that theory.

On the outside it looks like it's a 2D universe game, but R* actually confirmed that it is indeed a 3D universe game. Even it connects to the other 3D games sometimes.

From the way I take a look at it, CJ wasn't begging for Catalina to not shoot him because he was afraid of her. No, he was begging because he needed the money from those heists. It's not like he loved Catalina in the first place seeing how insane and deranged she is. And also, he already stands up to her in "Wear Flowers in Your Hair" anyway.

 

The reason why he doesn't kill her later in the story is because, despite what she did to him, CJ still acknowledges that she is part of Cesar's family, and he didn't want to cause some bad blood between him and Cesar. And you could argue that he better things to do than just deal with that bitch. And, even if that's not the case at all and he does kill her, then that'd still have an impact on GTA III's plot 100% don'tcha think ?

Achievements suk. And the possible requirement to have any. Unless this stuff is completely in the game software itself. And people like those for some odd reason. This achievo requirement with game console (and PC stuff as well) I've heard has prevented re-releasing of some old titles without any, so if that's an absolute requirement, that's shooting oneself in der own nice foot (nice going Sony, ye couldn't release PS1 titles digitally to was it PS4 or PS5 because of those requirements, NICE GOING, YA FRICKEN DINGUS).

The game itself may be bad, but GTA Liberty City Stories' theme song/mission passed theme is my favorite out of the 3D era, followed closely by GTA Vice City.

Catch The Wave is nowhere near as hard as people make it out to be, in fact is not even one of the hardest missions in GTA IV, most of my playtroughs I tend to beat it in my second try by getting good cover outside of the warehouse. I think people overreact it because the way the boatyard is designed makes it hard to spot most enemies, but aside from that, it's no big deal at all, and yes, maybe Phil wouldn't die so much if you weren't rushing to shoot every single red barrel you see, just sayin'
