Does anyone else destroy document in RR on purpose if people go Afk

I hosted RR once and a rank 10 that I invited went afk. I died, respawned and after I got the document, I decided that they shouldn't get the money/RP when I'm doing all the work. So I ran him over and then cooked a grenade so the mission was failed.

 

Anyway, I usually don't care if people go afk on rooftop rumble. Sometimes it bothers me when they're not a high enough rank to host for themselves and don't do anything because imo I'm doing them a favor by hosting, but I almost never destroy the document over it. I just feel like being a dick sometimes

They were level 10. Surely you didn't expect too much help from them. They had crap guns, no armor, and likely no money for ammo. They were most likely hoping you would finish for them so they could get some money and RP to get some of this stuff. I help lower levels all the time, sure, from time to time it bites me in the a$$ when you run across the odd troll. But for the most part they are grateful for any help I can give them. Remember, we were level 10s once before as well.

 

Yeah, you have a point. I just assume (which I probably shouldn't because I usually regret it) that most low levels nowadays are second characters, so they should have money for the special carbine, and could kill at least one guy, or try to. Trying would've been better than nothing.

Gotta love when I'm calling Merryweather or Pegasus and one of you asshats runs me over or kicks me for being afk lol...but yeah I often get a chopper now...but on any mission I'm doing if people don't play sometimes I'll kill them and wait for them to quit before I complete the mission. Usually I'm too impatient.

I just go stand on one of the containers so I can't be run over. Anyway, I'm more useful afk than when I'm playing

I personally don't care if everyone's AFK. It's better than them interfering with me when I'm trying to complete the mission.

Really all depends on what kinda attitude the person displays, if he has been repeatedly not contributing to missions I will try to kick him first. But if that doesn't work, rather then destroying the document, I will kill the douche by running him over (if possible) or call in a heli to shred him to pieces with the blades, then wait until he quits the mission. And I got a whoooole lot of patience...

I've forgotten my PV was set to private before when I've honked at players, but once i realized it was locked I always quickly unlock it and then honk my horn like a mad man.

 

What's strange is pretty much 100% of the time, that random person understood that I unlocked it and hopped in my car lol

I have had that happened to me before and I always text them to either help out or I will kill your butts after the mission. That usually does the trick. A month later which was last month, I started doing those rooftop rumbles by myself and enjoying it too with some good music to boot.

Sadly some people aren't humble enough and courteous to vocalize much but their disapproval. If someone asked me to carry them I would do it. Expecting me to? Better expect the unexpected I say! And if this doesn't make sense to you, sorry common sense isn't common in your area.

Yeah a week ago I started playing with friends and crew members. We all do our best to our abilities to discuss what is going to happen before the mission. I am usually the shooter, my friends are either the drivers or the pilots. It is good to get a open discussion started before the battle. Just so you can know what to do and what the deal is beforehand. We also look at our stats and discuss on our weakness and what we lack in skill. After the mission, we always get the job done why? Because of COMMUNICATION in order. It is sad that most people don't even do that.

1 time i was waiting in my car with my 2nd character till everyone was shot dead so i could drive my companion who took the documents to madrazo...

he comes walking towards my car , plant a couple sticky's on my car and detonates them... unluckily for him he blow's his own ass up..

I was a bit angry because he tried to pull a lame move on me..

But hey ok he was the host so i was thinkin he did that for having a good excuse not having to drive whole the way to Martin..

So i took the documents and drove to martin, and couple feet before i could deliver the doc's i got kicked from the mission....

with a PSN message included : 'i'm gonna make your life misserable'

And those same ones dude, those same ones that don't communicate online, wanna cry about community. Not once in their posts to they mention SENDING MESSAGES TO PLAYERS, OR SETTING UP GAMES either via FORUM or SOCIAL SITE.

 

If you let me know you are AFK it's cool. If you don't and apologize afterwards cool. If not, I don't feel bad "griefing" or being smarmy. I do that when provoked.

 

You can laugh but to give you a live example I used to work in restaurants as a cook, and managers loved to poke at me to go faster literally or put their hands on me. Punched three managers in the face over three years, and never did jail time for it. Now I wouldn't punch a slow cook for messing up a ticket time, or even scold them, that isn't my place in the real world. But if they act like I should go above and beyond because of their ineptitude, and lack of foresight like stocking and being prepared, they don't get my sympathy. I will ALWAYS help someone who tries.

If you're overall aim is to make money OP, then who's time/money are you actually wasting by standing over a document and holding it to ransom over the trolls in your session? Who actually gets the last laugh? Probably the trolls, because some absolute tosspot just destroyed his own document and missed out on $18k because he was "trying to make a point".

Again I'm not advocating this on any mission besides RR and Coveted where 1 player is all you need, and we've all been grinding these missions for hours.

 

Go ahead and make me aware tool, i'm probably right there making a sandwich, you'll end up like the DB that tried to run me over in a Granger at the top of the hill in Coveted. Before he knew it I was in the cargobob dropping his XF in the ocean!

i can beat a chopper piloted by a person to martins house in my fully upgraded sabre turbo.

SO what are you saying? You don't have courtesy to send me a message hypothetically? I should expect to carry you since you wanna have your sandwich and video game too? I know the job is easy to solo, but my question is if you were hungry when you get the text to join mission go eat your food, and don't join.

 

You remind me of the fat kids in little league that didn't practice as hard, and still feel they earned the trophy for being there. And if one player is all that is needed to join, don't join, or run it yourself while taking a dump and see where it gets you. Yeah you expect to ride off others success Lamar.
