I actually climb over the little hill next to Madrazo's driveway - you'll get into a backyard with a pool that looks over the entire downtown area. At night, there are a couple of NPCs that have a BBQ going in the backyard, although the actual food and cooking is "off-center", it's like it's cooking on the side wood panel.

 

This, of course, is when I'm in invite only doing RR. The area is too busy in full lobbies.

 

Otherwise, hang out on the islands, near Hookies or by the Pier. The lighthouse is another option.

 

Sometimes I'll sit on one of the boats out in the ocean.

That's awesome, I didn't even know there was a university, and I've driven by there 1000's of times. I love how I've been playing since GTA V was released, and I still discover new places.

My friends and I, at some point in every game we play when it's all of us together, like to go over to an island or the sawmills and host fight clubs. No weapons besides your knuckles. It's so much fun. Another place I stay around a lot is Paleto Bay, the Lighthouse, Mirror Park, and the mini skatepark closest to the strip club. I like to take my bati over there and do backflips off of the ramps. It's good fun.

but car meets and racing are usually in the industrial area..some of you probably know what street im talkin about.

 

gun fights at the airfield can be fun. until a couple dickheads show up in jets and keep killing players when they try to get in the planes/helos. smh one time i watched a guy get killed like 30 times in a row. all he wanted to do was get in a plane and leave. the 2 guys in jets wouldnt let that happen. lol i just stood in the middle of the runway watching them blow up that guy everytime he got in one. they didnt do sh*t to me and i was a open target. kinda surprised by that

I've recently been hanging out in the Tataviam Mountains, specifically the Land Act Reservoir and Dam. I cargobob'ed a Marquis up there and had my Mesa. It was very peaceful. No one really bothers you. Then I purposefully got a bounty and some fun sniping people as they climbed the mountain to get me.
