Emotional damage is a plus in some cases.

If someone shoots at or kills you first, blow their car up, no matter how expensive. Then you haven given them emotional damage and taken them off their game. Will also keep them from getting away so easily.

A Maned Wolf

Except the people that do that run around with no cash on that character cause they dumped it on to their alt character. So it would just be the same as not getting your insurance money

The money should be taken from the second character or they should go into debt.

This. Debt system.

Ahhh.. Yes the debt system bullsh*t. Someone messy'd up your wilttle car and you want dem to payeee!. Aww.. ain't that cute.

Tell the debt collectors to hurry up. Cause I got a pocket full of bullets, explosives and a bullet proof car in which i can make special deposits to their stupid faces every time they come a knockin'...lol

Debt system.....Muahaaaaaaa...

If your neck hurts so much then stop doing the $50 service and make them pay for the $75 or $100 service at least

Obviously

After that accident in which you blew up my car. Before I make some sort of social comment, I'll say this.

When someone blows up your car, either a percentage or flat amount should be deposited into your bank for emotional damage.

Hear me out here, this isn't meant to be for financial gain, but just based on the personalities of people who blow up cars, if they knew even a small about of money was going to the person who they are trying to piss off, it just might discourage the act a bit. It will also soften the anger of the person who lost their car. I'm not talking about a lot of money, either like 10% or a flat $500-$1000.

I think they are going to do something along these lines in the dlc with the mental health stat. not sure though

Emotional damage?

How about you go ask the guy who just blew you up for a Hug?

Im starting to think alot of people don't understand they are playing GTA.

What I love about this is that you and many others like you say "it's GTA" like a crutch to every point that you try to make.

For the life of me, what does that even mean? Is that just the excuse everyone's gonna use for being douchebags? At least just admit to just being a douchebag.

Screw that, its a game. If you get that emotional about your virtual car being blown up, you may want to quit video games.Blowing up peoples car is too fun and I love how they cry after you do it. That alone is worth paying their insurance.

You seem to have a group of people who want to act like, oh, I don't know, criminals in "GTA". And you have another group who get all upset because you tried to fight them when they were on their way to the clothing store to spend an hour deciding on how to dress their character. The second group thinks that when the first group are acting like criminals in GTA, they are being douchebags and seem baffled as to why someone would want to randomly fight in "Grand Theft Auto". The first group wonders what the second group is doing in "GTA" and points them towards "The Sims".

I tend to think the two sides aren't going to come to an understanding.

Meh... I don't act like a douche bag. But i know what im getting into when i play public games.

But i agree with mostly what you posted.

For me,, R* could have made players carry less ammo/explosives if they really wanted less violent player interactions. But.. they allow players to run around with enough ammo to fight a small war.

Maybe this has already been suggested, but a simple solution would be for R* to do as WoW did. Make an RP lobby for the emo's who dont want to pvp.

This is GTA!!!! Why is that so difficult for people to understand. Trying to make this a damn life simulator. Lets have our characters age too.. get diagnosed with cancer go bald from Chemo.. c'mon

You sir, are awesome.

This isn't about making GTA into a life simulator or whatever. The insurance system is already in place, tweaking it a bit wouldn't make it any more or any less of a life simulator, it would just alter the insurance system a little.

Valdorien

And that's good enought for GTA.

Because in GTA you can explode someone's car and only have to pay the insurance.

In real life you get SUED!!!!!!

Then a debt system could be implemented. With punishments for not paying them in time

There would be no change in the money you pay for blowing up someone's car, the only difference would be that a small amount of that money goes directly the the player who lost their car.

Given the maturity level of a lot of people, the mere fact that they have to give even a little bit of money to people (when their goal is to be a jerk) might rustle their jimmies a bit.

I'll take my emotional damage renumeration in ammo, that'll be fine, thanks. :colgate: Or if they have no ammo, I will take it in the form of a pink slip for their chrome Adder. :^:

EDIT: to clarify, the "emotional damage" title is a joke, in true American fashion, you should get extra money from a minor collision for emotional damage, medical bills, missed work (even though you are welfare), court fees, mental trauma, and pain and suffering.

Let's not be selfish OP, share whatever you were smoking when you posted that

pull your head out of your ass and it will stop.

i wouldnt mind a people's court type minigame. who ever fails to push triangle first loses the case and the next $1000 you make goes to that player.
