Anyone actually buy vests?

Whenever I have a kevlar, I usually get ran over or lose most of it to fall damage.

 

Also, does equipping the vest(while owning one) vs buying one and hiding it make a difference?

 

Explain how falling/blunt trauma will damage a bulletproof vest.

 

Any opinions on how they could improve them?

Why bother buying armor for one life? It's cheap but I don't go out of my way to buy it.

I usually buy armor because it protects against fall damage better than gunfire, which is useful because my character cant even walk without falling on his face.

Yes I buy it for every mission, tdm etc.

 

It's just an extension of your life bar. I don't see it as actual armour.

 

It's saved me a lot in tdm when involved in a shootout, the die and my life is still green but my armour has gone, allows me to kill another without having to Health up.

money is no issue in this game... every chance i get i equip the vest... i dont go out of my way to buy them at ammunation... but yeah...the vest makes a difference vs a player with no vest in a PvP shootout. u obv have the upper hand

Yea sometimes i dont even notice that i did ive been doing it ever since the early days along with purchasing ammo. I always end changing the armor vest to black because it compliments my attire more than the other ones.

Haven't bought it in months. Just find cover when i'm low on health and let it regenerate to half. I don't even bother using snacks anymore.

Only time I wear armor is when i'm doing survival,don't think it makes much difference if you wear armor,if you are up against a competent player a headshot will kill you with or without armor

Bp vests dont help head shots

Only on missions, never in freeroam. Find it useless cause players shoot for the head. Effective against NPCs

If I'm in ammu-nation stocking up on ammo then I will.

 

It's not worth going out of your way for, especially in free roam. Although it's dirt cheap it only delays your inevitable death for a few seconds. Doesn't really give you a fighting chance.

I always buy it when doing jobs. Why not get some extra health if you can.

Buying the minigun was the last time I set foot in an Ammunation. I always and only use the mission lobby to buy ammo/armor. If you do missions often enough there is no need to ever go into the store. Like others have said, buying in Freeroam seems to just be a waste. If you start buying BPVs in Freeroam you will be buying them often.
