Melee DMs

I use auto invite and rarely get even 4 players..

Am I the only one that enjoy these?

Auto-invite is awful. You have to find a group that's into a little of everything so that when you suggest melee dms, they'll be into it. I think melee are the best dms I've played, but I'd really like to see a workable demolition derby dm too.

I hate them. I've seen people discussing how to 'glitch punch' to get easy kills a lot recently.

still fun when you realize there's no counter for the running attack and you massacre those just locking on and punching.

 

running attacks will always knockback the opponent, and you don't need to actually run, just press that button too as you attack.

The melee combat system in this game is atrocious. Melee only deathmatches are completely lame and too laggy to actually be any fun at all.

Getting punched by the guy I've been chasing around the map while he's still in front of me 5' and still running away =/= fun

Still completely f*cking lame. All of them. The only exception would be the "Fight in the Heavens" or something because it's funny to push people off....but it is still lagfest lame sh*t.

I've noticed that the majority of people who enjoy these also sound like they aren't able to afford a decent internet connection and their uber-lag shows that same thing.

The actual fighting isn't boring, it's the lag that does it for me. If they can somehow take care of that to prevent crazy hurrican stabs/punches, it'd be golden

i said you don't even need to run, but if you press the run button as you attack you can do a running attack while standing there.

 

enclosed space or not, running attacks do more damage and will knock you back even if you counter.

 

so it's no glitch, it's just using high power attacks than regular attacks.

 

plus the run button is what makes you shove your opponent.

 

i'd say those are in game features, not a glitch.

you're not pressing all button combinations by choice.

 

you love it so much you don't even figure out how it fully works...

you're just keep going to retort back to any mention of how broken it is or how easy it is to win since you just have to keep doing the same thing.

 

plus, relax on your entitlement, just because you made a thread about melee dm's with a minimal op that does not mean you're suddently in charge or the final word on the matter.

I'm surprised, in most melee deathmatches I've been in there's been someone doing it, usually accompanied with "go to sleep, bitch".
