I don't think that has a possibility of happening due to copyright. Rockstar have to go through every artist to have permission before they can allow other peoples music in their game for us to play.

 

I would like that happening of course but I think it's just going to happen as it's happened so far in DLC's. They will add their chosen tracks for us to listen.

I paid for the music once, I see no point in paying for it again. Otherwise this already exists on the system. Just plug in your MP3 player.

 

If what you are asking for is radio chatter between songs then what we need is something like GTA 4's Independence FM. It scans your MP3 player or tunes you've saved to your hard-drive and will allow you to hear it with all the radio bits in between.

Copyright isn't an issue. If the song is on your hard drive, and you own the game its all good. They just need to add a blank radio spot that will play MP3s or WAVs off the hard drive. They have done it in SA and in the iPhone versions of the games. I personally would pay $1.99 because I am so sick of the friggen radio in this game. I always turn it off and play music off my computer.

Yes, definitely. People always say you can just play music from your consoles hard drive or USB, but that is not the same as having songs integrated into the game. I want to be able to control the volume in-game. I want to simply switch radio stations to shut them off. I want an option to put the in-game ads and commercials in there for some immersion and funny moments.

So yes, for a small free, I wouldn't mind paying for something like this.

Not sure how they would make it work with the two player in a car thing and the radio stations, but I'd be for it.

Saint's Row lets you take the songs you like and make a playlist. That playlist is essentially your radio station.

R* should definitely follow suit on that one.

I would absolutely love it if the Beats headphones would play music off of my PS3's hard drive. I have no clue what programming or lag issues that would cause but it would be sick.

Uhhh... I copied a bunch of my music to my Xbox, created custom playlists within that and now I can do exactly what OP is describing for free.

 

So, to better answer the question: no, I would not pay another $2 to listen to custom playlists.

that function was there on PSP for GTA: LCS. it played music stored on the device, & it was free.

 

the day I finished SP is the day I turned the music off. most of the time I'm listening to a podcast while playing online. when I want music I go to Pandora "NWA radio."
