I have a strong feeling that players would less likely be killing one another all the time and it would add some fun new ways to play. Think about it, you see a deer running down the road, of course you try to smash into it, or you see a coyote chasing one of your crew members out in Blaine. You could make mini-games out of shooting birds or chasing deer. I believe a lot of aggressive players would be shooting animals instead of other players, at least some of the time. And of course the ultimate, your own dog to walk and ride with you. You could send it to attack other players, NPCs, or cops!

Cat stays at home, doing whatever it wants to do.

 

Dog comes with me when i go out on a sub-urban adventure.

Even though we wont see animals online due to hardware limitations we should be able to host a hunting thing like what Trevor did. Whoever gets the best kill wins and it should put the stealth stat to good use

Agree 100%. Wildlife is actually what I was most excited about pre-release. Veeery disheartened when I found out Online wouldn't feature any animals. Hunting would definitely be my number one activity if Rockstar could manage to fit them in there. Even just a few deer would be fine.

Honestly when I was looking into buying this game that was one of the selling points for me. My friend and I were planning on co-op hunting trips in the woods and all that jazz. Now all I have to hunt is Happy Killstick. Its a tough life.

its called pet dlc and yeh online cant handle animals like single player can atm. yep I agree I want a cat at my apartment, and a dog like chop but a white husky version to follow me , it cant ride in my car seat like it does with franklin and a horse I could use to race in the forest or at the horse race track. I could use the horse for bets or ride it, if R* can make red dead horses why not gta

Animals/Wildlife isn't going to solve anything lol. Though if added without causing lag, it will be a very welcomed addition, adding hours of gameplay for me.

yep same here, I was hopeing for shooting sharks, treasure hunting under the seas with scoba gear, shooting deers and selling their skin for cash, wild ppl living in the mountains. at least give us birds flying in the air like eagles in the county so I can snipe them.

that's what pet insurance is for, kinda like car insurance, so if someone run over the dog it comes back to ur apartment, like chop from story if u kill he comes back, just hope the dog doesn't do some sh*t on my apartment, I would be mad and make him live outside. maybe a parrot and cat can live in the house just for the laughs, like u shout in the mic something and the online parrot repeats

I remember how much I laughed in Red Dead Redemption when a high level choob tried to kill me and a puma just jumped in his face everytime he got near.

 

Or thoses times when I didn't notice that there was a bear coming at me without making any sound..

That would be awesome if your dog could have quick action like we do the air thrusting , jerking, etc. except the dog pisses on the players leg or takes a sh*t on him after you shoot them lol.

True. And if it were a hardware limitation than just have a less NPCs.Pretty much this. Areas where animals are frequent rarely have lots of civilians. If there happen to be civilian then an animal could take the slot of a civilian instead without having to go over the AI limit. So say there can only be 10 humans. I Agree... give us animals... even if not in freeroam, some extra mini missions for Hunting would be awesome... if its in a mission-mode there is no reason why they would break the game, if that is even an issue... seems more like an excuse...
