He's a guy who put his name in a logo that looks a lot like the R* Verified one, then added an arrow pointing upwards.

I preferred it when modders and hackers stayed on their master race PC's and modded and hacked away to their hearts content and the great result was Counter Strike from Half Life...

 

I wish the modders and hackers didn't jump on my sh*t tier casual f*g console and add absolutely nothing good for the community. :rol:

 

Console gaming doesn't need modding and hacking. It needs people that don't enjoy the games to quit buying them and playing them, so companies are forced to make games they enjoy, or find a new hobby. Truthfully this and like three other games are the ONLY games I play. IV is the other one. I'm not even much of a Metal Gear fan anymore, and I grew up on that. Thankfully GTA keeps pushing forward towards my interests. Make yoga and tennis jokes, if this ain't the game for you find another game, and forum. It's easy. I'm a GTA enthusiast.

Times have changed dramatically since IV. This game is mainstream now, any kid that recieved a christmas gift has it. you are not going to have the same hardcore players as IV. If you are lucky the fad will run out, and what will be left is a community of players. Unlikely.

I would have to agree with this. The sense of misplaced entitlement of the youth of today doesn't help either due to most of them growing up surrounded by instant gratification. In short, most the little sh*ts that play this game are spoilt brats.

Oh shut the f*ckuup Oldman. I'm old too, but at least I recognize that the next generation is just as entitled as we are/were. Please.

From my experience the GTAIV community was terrible. Just a bunch of people that roamed the city for 10 mins and then when 1 person was at the airport everyone flocked over to the airport.

True about that, it was hard to avoid lobbies like this too.

READ MY WORDS:

GTA IV was not fun. Every time I got online I would instantly get ran over, set on fire, and wouldn't be able kill anybody no matter how close I was and how many rounds I put into them. If anything, GTA IV was a "hackers paradise".

LOL! I've noticed the only people that are bothered by my words, are frankly a**holes. If the TC wants the pure non kiddie GTA version, he should play the first game on PC, and REALLY innovate that title. That one had multiplayer.

FYI I played GTA IV when you did, we saw the same things. I tried free roam RP from time to time every few months... (Boring...) I did all of the online game modes. I grinded noose, and bomb da base. I LOVED petrovic way more than Madrazzo or really any of the other dudes you work. Kenny had me laughing with his potty mouth. Cops and Crooks. Even doing assault rifle ONLY was cool for a bit. Then people started hacking to win, and acting like they weren't, and it got over board. I couldn't trust if it was an honest room, or not. So I picked up a new game. If people keep on hacking GTA's online, I'll just stop playing online in open sessions.

I doubt they'd bother with GTA though - eve and wow were more their style. Read about goonswarm if you can be bothered, or just visit Something Awful if it still exists. Tell them you want to learn. If you're lucky, they'll just ask you spend some time at the prep school known as 4chan.

 

PS 'troll' and 'productive member of the community' are contradictions.

 

PPS goons were the sort of guys who would spend months crafting a situation in which thousands of players would suddenly lose a years worth of material progress (cash and assets) each.

GTA is probably too small of a scope for Goon antics. Some of the Eve Online stuff by Goonswarm is straight up legendary :^:

I think I've worked out at last (I'm a bit slow today). OP is a lonely GTA IV "og" troll trying to convince people to come back and play with him... Then he will kill petrovic and laugh (I don't know what that means, but he talks about it enough). He might even settle for someone saying his GTA IV name, so he can feel remembered...

Aw I remember the good old Chopper vs Chopper pilot battles I had. They handled so well in IV and they instead took a big sh*t on them in GTA V, for "Realism".

donkeyluver, i really enjoyed reading your post. I totally agree. I played GTAIV online for years, most of my sunday mornings were spent in free mode. You could play for others because we (the players) had to create the fun ourselves. I know exactly what you are talking about, waiting in a game lobby and having a real hardcore player show up. knowing the game you're about to play is gonna get f*cked up. will play it more.

 

GTA 5 online is nothing compared to IV. I got bored after a month. I feel like rockstar is holding my hand while I play. Not allowing me to destroy other peoples vehicles, not allowing me to buy the guns i want cause of level restrictions.

IV was pretty "mainstream" man. I personally think the worlds population is in a state of "degeneration", and we're slowly recessing back to the age of the neanderthal (judging by how people play this game sometimes) lol

How do I find video content of the GoonSwarm? Is there videos on YouTube of them Griefing / GameSpiking/ Trolling other players in EVE Online or World of WarCraft?

 

I would most certainly LOVE to see this content.
