I would rather that Rockstar use their time to fix the plethora of bugs that currently exist and for them to introduce game elements and assets that add something far more substantial than the simple ability to listen to music (and force others to listen to your choice of music) when outside of your vehicle and apartment.

 

Just because an idea's not entirely terrible doesn't automatically mean that it should be implemented into the game. If it did, the game would become incredibly bloated and lose a sense of purpose and direction.

I'd much rather your character being able to have an mp3 player, ipod, or some other type of music device. This way it would follow you around, and you wouldn't have the music volume go up or down depending on how far away you are from it. But then, I would want a music DLC as well, because the music on the game has already gotten old, we need some new stuff.

 

Although, I would LOL if you get too far away from it and you get a 'Pegasus has put your boombox away' message.

It's not a 4-man team, but it's in no way even a 1/12 of the team V was.

has everyone already forgotten the initial Online credits? There's your dev team for Online.

 

Which is why The Benz likes to refer to Online as a seperate GTA entity, R* North (the main dev house for GTA) is not working on it.

 

 

So yeah, fixes will take time. specially since altering finished code you didn't write without screwing something else up is a very long & tedious process.

But then again, most people here bitch like they're pro coders/programmers.... surely they can make a game better than this.

Why phone? Only you can hear it. With a boombox, your friends can hear it also.

 

Then they can turn their phone on to the same station.

 

This would be a complete waste of time to program as pretty much no one would use it. People rarely stay in the same place long enough for it to be worth a damn.

 

The only way I can see it being used for more than 2 mins is if you could use it while playing tennis or darts or something, but no one really plays those, and I know I wouldn't want someone else choosing what I listen to.

No, there's more than that. They also aren't divided by the Berlin Wall.

 

As others have said, if they are going to do anything even remotely like this, it should be adding functionality to our phones (which need MORE, MORE and MORE!!! anymore) that allows us to play music on them.

 

Also, because it is 2014 and not the 90s.
