Prior to release, I thought that you were going to be able to enter the hotels and use them as save points similar to what you could do in RDR, even if it is just one room that is open and a lobby area it would have been sick.

They could have used it as a story arc as well, Frank Mike or Trevor could have been investigated by the LSPD and they could have used it as a hideout area.

Thoughts on the hotel in general, feels like another area of mist potential from R*..

I don't mind the idea of a hotel room or hotel's allowing a save point/change clothes. On the other hand it's pointless as the NPC system is whacked.

In my opinion the hotel is very beautiful and so is the real one:

It was definitely a missed opportunity, I mean Rockstar detailed everything around it; the tennis courts, the flora, the pools, the chairs & tables, even the alleyways. But what about an interior? No... It's sh*t like this that really made me grow tired of exploring V. There was so much eye candy but who cares if you're going to be hit with the disappointment of not being able to enter anything?

A lot of people always bitch and moan about how having interiors doesn`t add anything to the game and it`s just a place you would go once.I personally think having a sh*t load of interiors and in this case a fully functioning hotel with multiple interiors would add a bucket of f*ck full of realism to the already well detailed exterior of the place.

Before the game released I also thought that this hotel was going to be a usable location. They even had a little section about it on their website showcasing it out and the way they talked about it implied more than just another generic building with no function.

the trailers made a lot of things look like we would be able use them but when we got the game it was like they had cut a lot of content.

Due to console capabilities, not many interiors are... you know, interior. You'll just have to wait for the PC version. :(

I remember some rumors that you would be able to use it as a safehouse, guess they were wrong. Even the title on the wall looks dirtier compared to the pre-release screenshot.

A lot of people always bitch and moan about how having interiors doesn`t add anything to the game and it`s just a place you would go once.I personally think having a sh*t load of interiors and in this case a fully functioning hotel with multiple interiors would add a bucket of f*ck full of realism to the already well detailed exterior of the place.

The buildings are very well detailed, but my problem with interiors is functionality, what would be the point of a detailed hotel interior other than a waste of exterior detail?

I say forget the hotels, as they only let you do the same things as you can do elsewhere around the map - where are the bank interiors?

Seriously though, seeing all the things Rockstar failed to include, it really makes one scratch their head and ask "Why?"

They could have done more, end of story.

I thought for sure that I had read in an early preview that Michael would be able to purchase the Richman hotel as a property, and even that didn't make it in the final cut. I wonder why. Perhaps they needed to make some room in the memory for Jimmy's fat ass....

They even had that screenshot showing the khamelion driving out of the driveway. Its like they wanted us to think that there's property in the game. The same with that bahama mamas screenshot. They deceived us..

I really wonder if they actually deceived us or if a lot of content was cut last minute because of performance, or kept aside to be sold as part of dlc later on. Only R* knows.

What I think is, everything cool or that would have given the game a lot of replayability was cut really late in development. I mean, look at those promo shots of that military site! There's clearly a Hunter and a military style ATV. Heck, the Hunter's even in one of the television episodes featured in the game. I could go on but I think I'll stop here.

Don't expect that the interior issue will change for the PC version. If anything, community made mods that allow to enter inside mission and custcene interiors but they would very likely load with load screen and be inaccesible for cops, sucking the fun out of it...

The functionality is always there for interiors and don`t really see why it has to be a this or that situation.Yes interiors would take more development time but with the current tools at their disposal they wouldn`t take that much time to develop.I think in this case its the type writer consoles that they released the game on holding back interiors.Functionality?

 

There is multiple uses for well detailed interiors,some people like exploring and coming round a bend and you see this amazing hotel then you see a valet people pulling up or parking,You can take a walk inside maybe their is a dining area with a hall and a couple of floors with multiple rooms open,this adds immersion.I like many others would of enjoyed this type of detail and would of explored every interior there was.

 

This is also not wasted space as a TDM or DM inside the Richman would of been awesome or even just going inside and shooting up the place.Anyway that`s my few hundred cents.
