Still No Mention Of RP Resets For Next Week?

As the title says, why's there no mention of RP resets for patch 1.13? I thought they were supposed to be resetting people soon haha. I have a level 983 and a second character at rank 137(Legit) so im not too fussed about resets but there was a huge discussion not long back about resets and im wondering why its gone quiet. Have I missed some vital information about it or not? Have they decided to throw that idea away or something?

Probably will happen sometime with the update quietly. They won't go highlighting that they did it, it's their job and they already announced that they would on an update.

So instead of opening other character slots so people can level again if they want, they are going to forcibly reset everybody's hours of grinding? Hell no.

In the anouncement they also pointed out that grinds and any activity in game would not be punished. Only DNS and glitches. Given how precisice they were with the modded cash wipe you are probably safe.

I'm level 81 and I'm grinding to get to 100. If they reset my level, I'll spam the living sh*t out of them. I've worked too damn hard at it, so why should I be reset?

Rockstar have no reason to reset people who leveled up in a legit way. I assumed people would get the jist of what I was on about. My bad

I'm guessing there is only so much RP you can get in one session before it starts being noticible. Guessing what they probably will do with what I'd do if I was in their place, probably get some script to check each player's game history. If in one session they got more than X impossible amount of RP in Y time, the player would get flagged for investigation. That could ping most DNS and Capture Point glitches I think. Depends if they keep that much data but from what I seen from other developers, Data like that is both important and easy to gather. Edited May 8, 2014 by BondageKitty

It's really not hard to separate DNS/Glitched RP, to Legit. Someone lets say at LV800 with only 10Days of gameplay is an obvious cheat. With that said, I'm not exactly filled with confidence on how Rockstar will deal with the RP. They wiped all my legit money along with the modded cash given to me during The Great Wipe, as did a lot of people as well. If before, or after the update, I see my character at LV 1 for no reason? Well, I'll just fill out a ticket, and move on to a different game until they fix it. If they fix it.

I wouldn't say they wiped your legit cash because you probably spent your legit cash along with the hacked cash

I'll admit I spent a smidge of my hacked cash. But by the time they actually did the money reset, I had earned, and banked a ton of cash legit, that my balance should have stayed the same. Meaningless now of course, especially with my bankroll over 5million now anyways.

Reset levels or not, this game is pretty much done anyway. Even with the addition of heists, which won't pay that much at all, people will have to grind those as well, and then get bored of that, then complain about whats next to come or not to come. They need a major overhaul of new things to do, not necessarily missions, but things to do, like casinos, poker tournaments, horse racing, dog racing, ect. ect. ect. with the gambling angle...drug dealing perhaps, maybe some kind of underground fight club...lol...new fighting styles, stock market...ifruit music player that plays music saved to your system...police jobs, firefighting jobs, ambulance jobs, taxi jobs...6th wanted star where military chases players...San Fierro, Las Venturas...they've really dropped the ball on this one I think...it could be hands down the greatest game to ever exist until the next one if they wanted to.

The double rp weekend was in preparation. Increase the legit players rank quickly while the modded people won't bother grinding then after reset they'll be even further behind the legit players.

they don't care about anybody's rp because that doesn't really affect their business/profit..

they only reset the money because it was directly affecting their business because the money-hacks decreased their profit from cash cards!

Two level 999 players told me that they were lvl 1000 and Rockstar took them down to 999 and they don't get RP anymore. I don't know if this is the "RP Adjustment", but it looks like maybe Rockstar has something up their sleeves.

to be honest, i think that was just a scare tactic, its being 5-6 months since the dns thing, if they could do that why dont do it during the money wipe.

 

they dont win/lose anything by resetting people's RP.

 

unlike $$$ that really affect their cash card, RP dont affect them at all, unless they plan to start selling RP Boost Packs...

Seems to me that they 'missed the boat' in regards to resetting the cheaters who used DNS stuff to increase their RP, because now so many legitimate players are getting their RP level up to that of the cheaters that on the surface it's difficult to see who has a legitimate level and who cheated, unless they've been logging the rate at which people level up.

 

I guess we can only wait and see if R* wipe out the RP of cheaters. If fhey do then I wouldn't be surprised if legitimate players get caught in the net, as did the players who had legitimate millions that got wiped out. I just hope that my legit level 245 is sufficiently low enough to not be taken to be a cheater.

if you have less than a week in game played and your level is way into the hundreds then you would be reset. why? because you cheated, so dont start crying when and if rockstar ever resets you.
